Day 2101 (28/09/2015)

I eventually finished work at 2:30am to get some work in, so today I have not achieved much but still had some work to do.

I'm really looking forward to a few days away with my wife next week but I must get loads of work done first.

Sunday 27 September 2015

Day 2099 & 2100 (26 & 27/09/2015)

Not a very relaxing weekend for me as I have loads of work that has to be in this week or more correctly should have been in last week.

Wales beat England in the rugby last night, so my dad is flying his little flag outside of his. Some things never change.

Obviously we miss both of the kids but it does mean we can have what we want for dinner, so today no roast but a nice paella and a very big jug of sangria.

Lovely.

Day 2098 (25/09/2015)

The last day of the course, so there was a decision to go to the pub for lunch before the exam.

I didn't mind too much as they bought me a drink and a sandwich but it did delay the exam a little.

Then a long drive back in heavy traffic, before taking my wife out for dinner at The Worlds End.

It was lovely to have a relaxing dinner with my wife, as I miss her lots when I'm away.

Day 2097 (24/09/2015)

The third day of the course and it seems to be going well but they do like long breaks (although to be fair I think many are having to do some of their own work during lunch, as we are doing the course at their venue).

Had a nice tuna roll for lunch.

And another pizza in the evening, which was OK but apparently a pint of lager shandy was beyond them (first waiter didn't know what shandy was and then they had no lemonade, just carbon water).

Day 2096 (23/09/2015)

Second day of the course and it went well with a nice curry for lunch.

In the evening I had a pizza at the hotel.

Tuesday 22 September 2015

Day 2095 (22/09/2015)

The hotel room is quite nice.

But it does have a few strange eastern mystic statues in the grounds but I don't know why.

The first day of the course went well. In the evening I stayed at the hotel for dinner. It was calamari, then a fairly small steak.

All fairly average and forgettable (apart from the carrots which were lovely). The dessert was disgusting, I only eat it because I'm a pig.

Having to do some work of an evening as I have so much on at the moment.

Monday 21 September 2015

Day 2094 (21/09/2015)

I have so much work on that basically none of it is getting done.

I have finished preparing for this weeks course and have to drive off to Sevenoaks later but will have to work of an evening after doing the course.

Getting used to the piece and quiet of it just being the two of us.

Sunday 20 September 2015

Day 2092 & 2093 (19 & 20/09/2015)

It was a long Saturday, taking Thomas to his new place. The car was fully loaded with all the thing his mother had bought for him.

Then we set off for his new adventure.

I was actually quite impressed with the house and the area, it could have been so much worse. Just fingers crossed for him that it all works out.

After my wife had unpacked everything and tided his bedroom for him, we had a very nice pizza & cake in a nearby cafe.

Then we left him and drove home, no tears just feeling very old that both of our kids are now so old they no longer lives with us.

Now time to get on with our own lives (well after I have finished all of my outstanding work).

As its only the two of us now I don't have to do a Sunday roast just to please the kids, so I did a nice rocket, fig, parma ham and halloumi cheese dinner.

With some extra bits to dip (obviously wine was also involved).

All very nice.

My other sold on eBay, so I ended up clearing a whole big box of stuff that I had no need for and after paying all the charges and postage, I ended up with about £165 profit.

My next sales will be for very big items, such as bikes, keyboards and juicers, which I'm going to sell on a local Facebook group, then there are no postage costs.

Saturday 19 September 2015

Day 2091 (18/09/2015)

I just have so much work on, not only with the courses but I have loads of research jobs to do, so no time for a visit to the gym today.

Thomas is back for a few days, before we take him and all of his stuff to London at the weekend.

In the afternoon he went shopping with his mum to buy things he (and it appears everyone else in the house) needs, so the car will be jam packed, after I thought it would be two suitcases of clothes and his x-box & telly.

Day 2090 (17/09/2015)

The last day of the course went well and then I got a taxi to the airport where I had a relaxing wait at Starbucks, with a few provisions.

I had a window seat on the flight, which rarely happens.

I always have to look out the window at the clouds in amazement and partially to make sure that no other planes are heading towards us.

It was nice to get back home.

Wednesday 16 September 2015

Day 2089 (16/09/2015)

Day two of the course went well but I'm looking forward to getting home, even though I have loads of work to do.

I was supposed to be going tonight but the guy I was meeting had to cancel,so I thought I would have a curry but I couldn't find an Indian restaurant, so had a pizza and a lager.

It was OK and only £10.

Tuesday 15 September 2015

Day 2088 (15/09/2015)

Day one of my course involved an early start an a bit of a taxi journey to the venue. I normally stay in the nearest hotel but I was told that the venue was not in a nice area and that it was best to stay in the centre of Dublin, so I have to get up earlier than I would wish.

Anyway the day went OK, not great but OK. Saying that the people on the course bought a big bag of chocolate for the course and took me for lunch in their canteen.

I got advised to take the tram back into Dublin, which was cheap an handy.

In the evening I went back to the Mexican take -away that is round the corner from the hotel as the burritos and nachos are quite tasty.

Thomas has moved into his new place, so I'm hoping he is happy (fingers crossed)

Monday 14 September 2015

Day 2087 (14/09/2015)

A busy day, mostly wrapping and posting eBay items.

The first batch sold for just under £200 which was a result, that and getting rid of things I don't need or want, so eventually I will have more space in my office and then in the whole house.

I went to the gym for a swim but didn't have time to go upstairs for an actual work out but if I had today music would have been Kylie singing 99 Red Balloons.

Just perfect.

Still had lots to do but had to get ready for Dublin.

The plane was over 30mins late but had a nice room in the hotel.

Sunday 13 September 2015

Day 2085 & 2086 (12 & 13/09/2015)

Busy weekend but I didn't seem to get much done (certainly not the University course that I have to hand in).

We went to Bridgewater on Saturday afternoon and then stopped off for our usual coffee / chocolate & cake from the drive-thru Costa Coffee on the way back, which was nice.

I made a nice Chicken Roast for Sunday dinner, which rather strangely will be the last one for a while when either of the kids will be with us as Thomas is going to London on Tuesday.

Kelly was coming home late Sunday and will be home for a few days but I will be in Ireland.

Most of my eBay stuff sold, which I was pleased about; although my wife thinks I am silly to sell things that cost lots of money just for a few £'s but I'm pleased to get rid of things I don't need and that are just taking up room.

Some of the stuff, like cartridges and stuff for my old printer cost me quite a lot but I've changed my printer, so I don't need them, they are taking up space and I've already spent the money, so anything I get for them is surely a result. Other things include unwanted raffle prizes and my plimsolls I was given to wear when the nasty police wanted to speak to me, so that is all free money.

So far I have made over £100 (not just on the plimsolls although they went for £3.95) so I'm happy.

Next weekend, or the weekend after if I'm busy I shall be selling some larger items on a Facebook group I've joined, so I wont have to post them as its a site for people who live in Somerset, which should be handy and was recommended to me by a friend who uses it.

Friday 11 September 2015

Day 2084 (11/09/2015)

More work coming in but not getting round to doing it.

Had a busy-ish day with time for my weekly chat, then off to the gym and not hurting as much as after Mondays visit.

Today's music was the Eurythmics, with today's punch bag song being Sex Crime 1984, brilliant and clearly so 80's, a time when life was probably at its best.

I had to pick up loads of printing from my usual printers.

It seems expensive paying out for 50 lots of printing in one go but it is probably cheaper than printing it myself, it's certainly quicker.

Day 2083 (10/09/2015)

Not quite fully recovered from the gym and giving blood, so after doing some work in the office I went to the gym, exhausting but hopefully beneficial.

Today's music was David Bowie, with China Girl being today's punch bag music.

Still being swamped by work.

Wednesday 9 September 2015

Day 2082 (09/09/2015)

Still so much to do but had to go and give blood in the afternoon.

Obviously had to relax afterwards.

Today's music is Ed Sheeran, I know I am coming to him very late but he is quite good and seems a very nice guy. Loving the Thinking Out Loud video.

Tuesday 8 September 2015

Day 2081 (08/09/2015)

The meeting last night was great, well we had curry & chilli.

And lovely cup-cakes.

My little chat also went down OK.

Today my arms, shoulder & tummy muscles were quite painful, so I didn't go to the gym. Another reason for not going to the gym is I am now inundated with work, especially as the written University course that I had aimed to write in August but haven't yet written and was told wasn't required until December but I was asked for it today as it's being given to students within the next two weeks.

There is no way I will have it finished but can try and do some of it, do more as its needed. What an utter pain in the arse but slightly my fault.

Today's music like is Charlotte Church, Glitterbombed.

I think she is quite an interesting person, who has come out with a few god political anti austerity statements recently.

Monday 7 September 2015

Day 2080 (07/09/2015)

Busy day, found a few more things to eBay, so the box is now full.

Hopefully most of it will sell for a few quid, then I can put some more stuff on eBay next week and start clearing out the stuff that is just gathering dust in our crammed full house.

At lunchtime I went to the gym today, not just for a swim but had a session on the bike, the weights, sit-up machine and then the punch-bag before having a swim.

I was knackered but enjoyed today's music, via La Roux live at Glastonbury.

Can't recommend her enough.

I grabbed a few supplies for tonight's meeting, as some one is making a curry and a chilli for us, so I offered to buy a few bits to go with it.

Sunday 6 September 2015

Day 2078 & 2079 (05 & 06/09/2015)

A busy time and I have actually made a start on writing the course work, which is good but well overdue.

My wife was in Bristol visiting her mother, so we decided to have a curry.

On Sunday we had some Sushi for lunch.

I am definitely in the mood for tidying the house; partly so we can live properly as opposed to in an every decreasing amount of room and also with an eye to moving eventually, and so have started going through things and putting them on eBay.

So far I have uploaded about 11 things, big & small, cheap & expensive (all stored in the box). I intend to get rid of anything I don't need, with lots of non-family things I've only kept for sentimental reasons (mostly my old work stuff) going as I no longer want it. They might not sell, in which case they will be off to the charity shop instead but it will be nice to live in a tidy house, with loads of room, and to have a paypal account with loads of money in it.

In the evening my wife was going out with some people from work, so I had a nice salad, whilst Thomas finished off his curry.
