Day 3344 (25/02/2019)

Just really busy but not feeling great :-(

Monday 25 February 2019

Day 3342 & 3343 (23 & 24/02/2019)

It was a lovely sunny day in Torquay and after breakfast we had a nice walk along the harbour-side.

Then after getting home i made a bit of a Mexican chicken wrap with nachos.

On Sunday I made the worlds greatest lamb shanks. I braised them first, with mint & redcurrant.

Then added them to pees, carrots, shallots, with more mint & redcurrant, with gravy and a nice red wine.

Oh my god, the best lamb shanks in the world :-)

Day 3341 (22/02/2019)

We had a relaxing morning and I had a few things to do for work and then in the afternoon we went away for the day and relax. I had said about going to Bristol and staying in a swanky hotel and going to a nice restaurant but my wife went for the budget all inclusive deal in a hotel in Torquay.

Our room was alright but the four poster bed was really small, meaning you had the choice between sleeping with your head on the headboard or feet on the foot-board, so sleeping was a pain.

Saying that we had a balcony and just about a sea view.

In the evening we ate at the hotels restaurant. The food was quite nice but they didn't have enough staff on and the service was awful.

Finished off with a nice baileys over ice.

Day 3340 (21/02/2019)

It was a very early start to be at the venue at around 8am, so I was knackered.

The conference at West Mercia Police HQ went quite well, with the man from the West Mid's asked for a copy of my presentation, explaining how poor their OSINT researchers were.

I obviously refused to handover any material but I did say I would come over to Birmingham and give a couple of hours training for free to his colleagues in Birmingham but that it probably wouldn't be authorised by his bosses.

Then home nice and early to relax.

Day 3339 (20/02/2019)

It was a more relaxing morning and breakfast, then off to a few meetings in Dublin, where the first client had bought a few cakes, which was very nice of them.

Then off to the next meeting, which was in a very lovely part of Dublin.

Then off to the airport and a drive to the midlands for tomorrows conference.

Sunday 24 February 2019

Day 3338 (19/02/2019)

I was up early for breakfast and then off to the other side of Dublin for a days training.

They were nice at the venue, supplying some sweets.

And a nice chilli at lunch.

Then I had to catch the tram back to the hotel, where I stayed in for dinner again, starting with prawn & avocado with red pepper & rocket, not bad :-)

Then posh but very tasty fish & chips.

Day 3337 (18/02/2019)

It was an early start as I had to drop Thomas at work and then I had to pack for Dublin. The office had got me a standard Ryan Air ticket with no extra luggage, so I packed a small bag but apparently this bag is twice the size you can take on-board for free. I wasn't happy.

I slept for nearly all of the short flight.

In Dublin I had a meeting which went quite well and then off to my hotel, where I had been booked a room with two double beds, which seemed odd but it was nice to have a large room to wander around in.

I ate at the hotel in the evening, starting with a very arty looking pate.

And a very under-whelming lamb shank.

Day 3335 & 3336 (16 & 17/02/2019)

A busy weekend as I have things to do prior to going away next week but I made a nice meal in the evening. For starters we had beetroot burgers, with rocket salad, with avocado & feta cheese, quite tasty :-)

Then I made roast cod, wrapped in parma ham, with olives, shallots and vine tomato's.

Very tasty.

On Sunday I decided against buying a joint to roast, as the left overs would go to waste with me being away all week. So after having tea and a doughnut for starters, we all had something different.

I did a roast but I did my wife liver, bacon & onions, which she likes.

Whilst I had a pre-cooked bacon joint from the supermarket.
