Day 2191 (28/12/2015)

I was back to work today (mostly because it was the first day I could get back into my office after moving some of the stuff out of it).

In the morning I did my usual blood donation / swap for tea & biscuits.

Then a fairly relaxing night with a bit of telly.

Day 2190 (27/12/2015)

And all to quickly Christmas is over.

I made my first pie (admittedly with sweet pastry) which was a tasty way to use up the left over Turkey & Gammon.

and then Thomas went back to London and we took my wife's mum back to Bristol.

We had a nice relaxing drive back through Bristol / Clifton and along the A38, looking at all of the Christmas Decorations.

I had forget to say that my wife had bought me my usual but brilliant Christmas present of a Kylie calendar.

It makes every new month bearable :-)

Day 2189 (26/12/2015)

Boxing Day - Christmas was lovely, its always great when we are al together, we just don't do it enough.

We had a bit more of a relaxing day and went to my parents in the afternoon / evening,

which must have been exhausting.

Day 2188 (25/12/2015)

Christmas Day, and what we really needed was a lie-in and a quiet day but that obviously didn't happen. Anyway present opening, then making dinner.

The most stressful part of the day isn't making dinner (which I quite enjoy and don't find that difficult, its the lack of space in my fairly large 4 bed detached house. If it wasn't so full of crap then there would be loads of room and it would be know big deal to have people round or to cook; however this will change).

Then games & fun.

Then collapsing.

Day 2187 (24/12/2015)

Christmas Eve and knackered already. It appears Santa may have already been, or my wife has bought so many presents there is nowhere to hide them.

It was an early start with our veggie box being delivered.

Then off to M&S for the Turkey.

I was still doing reports into the later evening, by which time my wife had returned with her mother for Christmas.

Day 2186 (23/12/2015)

Still more than busy in the office but nearly set for Christmas.

Kelly made burrito's and I made the Hello Fresh beef tortilla's, were were very nice.

Thomas came home (at 3am).

Thursday 24 December 2015

Day 2185 (22/12/2015)

Still busy in the office and my wife getting better.

Two for Tuesday pizza day.

Wednesday 23 December 2015

Day 2184 (21/12/2015)

My wife was still not felling great but is getting better.

I had my haircut,

so it is now tidier and also Kelly's wont appear so short when my parents see it :-)

I'm not smoking a pipe in the photo but was holding my glasses in my mouth.

I went and bought a few thank-you for the people I have to keep in with, like my accountant, the guys that do my computers and the printers.

The milk and rice pudding were for me.

In the evening I made Kelly a risotto, my first ever.

It didn't look much like the picture but tasted very nice.

Monday 21 December 2015

Day 2182 & 2183 (19 & 20/12/2015)

A busy weekend of work, still trying to catch-up, which will probably take me until the middle of
January if nothing else comes in.

Saturday started with some great pancakes from Kelly.

In the evening Kelly went off to pick a friend up and my wife went on her works Christmas Do, so I was alone and thought to save time I would have a small fish & chips.

And that was small, thankfully I didn't go for the large.

On Sunday my wife seemed to be suffering from food poisoning and wasn't very well, so had to stay home, near a toilet and a bucket :-(

I popped out and managed to do about 80% of my Christmas shopping in the Spar shop.

In the evening I made a meal from the food pack that my wife had bought, which was quite nice, today it was cranberry & cream-cheese chicken roulades.

It was quite tasty; although my wife had to have dry toast.

Friday 18 December 2015

Day 2181 (18/12/2015)

More work in the office, trying to catch up with about 30 research jobs I have been unable to do whilst I was doing all of the training courses.

Then I did the second part of my shop for the local food bank.

They were very grateful and if you can you should help people in your community.

My wife has bought a new gnome, a giant Christmas gnome.

It is even more tacky than you think as it lights up.

It makes her happy and I love her so I let her get away with it.

Day 2180 (17/12/2015)

A mixture of lots of work to do and being good. I phoned the local food bank and asked what they were short of and bought them some stuff as a donation from my company (if I had asked my wife she would have agreed to make it a donation from us but I am happy to use my works funds for good causes as it makes better about some of the stuff I do).

The trolley & car were full but it wasn't that much really, certainly a lot less than I had intended to spend so I said I would get some more for them the following day.

They were very grateful and offered to send a letter of thanks but I said not to bother its only me in the company, so why waste money on the printing, paper and the stamp.

In the evening the local round-table were collecting with Santa.

It is silly but I always look forward to this, and I hate Christmas.

Then later Kelly / Lee came home for Christmas, which was great.

Day 2179 (16/12/2015)

The second day of the course went much better and everyone finished quite content.

On the way home I had time for a visit to Yo-Sushi.

And these little cheese cake things were so lovely I had to have two bowls of them.

When I got home my lovely wife had done all of the decorations, so it is officially Christmas.

So now its officially Christmas can I start the chocolates?

Day 2178 (15/12/2015)

The first day of this course went OK, not great but OK. It was hard to get the feeling right as it is only a 2 day course but everyone seemed happy and food was nice.

In the evening I went out for a curry with Colin. Well I thought we were going out for a curry but it ended up that we went out for a drink with a colleague of his and her flatmate, then a curry much later.

There was no way I could keep up, as god can those Poles drink but the curry was quite nice.

It was gone midnight when I got back to the hotel, which was all locked up and I was in desperate need of my bed.

Day 2177 (14/12/2015)

Spent the day doing work in the office, then caught a train to London for the last training sessions on the year.

I left too early for dinner but arrived after the kitchen had closed, so ended up having a McDonalds, which was instantly forgetable.

The apple-pie was the best bit.

Sunday 13 December 2015

Day 2175 & 2176 (12 & 13/12/2015)

A busy weekend catching up with work and preparing for next weeks course.

We still haven't got the decorations down from the loft, let alone put them up, so I bought a ponsettia to make it a little festive in the house.

Made a lamb dinner on Sunday with a nice lemoncello dessert for afters.
