Day 3710 (26/02/2020)

Trying to catch-up after an enforced day off yesterday.

Had our delayed pancake day treats :-)

Day 3709 (25/02/2020)

The day started early with a visit to the Doctors, for a check-up, then off to the garage with my wife's car, for a service & MOT. Then home where my wife's flowers are looking good already.

Then the power went off at around 2pm and it was a long cold day :-(

we went out to Costa for a hot drink and tried their vegan cheese and ham tostie.

Then home to site in the dark doing a crossword, with a fish & chips.

Day 3708 (24/02/2020)

Another busy week in the office.

Saturday 22 February 2020

Day 3706 & 3707 (22 & 23/02/2020)

It's the weekend and lots to do in the office, preparing for Oman but we must have a day out, as we need to do about 160 miles in the car before it goes into the garage on Tuesday. So we had a nice breakfast.

Then we drove to Plymouth, which was about 76 miles away.

We had a nice coffee on the harbour-side.

Then after a walk around we had some posh fish & chips.

Then home with just the right mileage :-)

Got my wife some daffodils.

And made a nice pork dinner.

With warmed pork scratching's  instead of crackling.

Day 3705 (21/02/2020)

Another busy day in the office and had a really useful meeting in the afternoon with Dave.

Day 3704 (20/02/2020)

It was busy day in the office but I was mostly recovering from the long drive yesterday.

Thursday 20 February 2020

Day 3703 (19/02/2020)

I was up early and had a long drive to Cambridge to give a talk at Anglia Ruskin University, which went quite well.

The had even arranged a buffet, loads of sandwiches but no cake :-(

The talk went well.

Then a long drive home, which was absolutely knackering.

Tuesday 18 February 2020

Day 3702 (18/02/2020)

Another wet & windy day. Had a haircut and was busy getting ready for giving a talk in Cambridge tomorrow.

Day 3701 (17/02/2020)

Felt a bit rough today, possibly after drinking a bottle of Presseco yesterday :-)

Day 3699 & 3700 (15 & 16/02/2020)

We had a nice breakfast and then a drive around a very wet & windy Devon coast.

In the evening Gary & Elaine popped round and we had a nice Chinese takeaway.

On Sunday we went to Baby Shower in the afternoon, which was nice.

Day 3698 (14/02/2020)

Valentines Day and my wife made me a nice breakfast, with heart shaped crumpets :-)

After my wife came home we got ready and went for a romantic evening at the Dartbridge Inn.

The room was very nice but it was a bit annoying that they had double booked our table and had sold out of many of the items on the menu.

But we enjoyed ourselves as always.

Thursday 13 February 2020

Day 3697 (13/02/2020)

It was nice to not get up before 5am but it was a busy day catching up in the office.

The daffodils I got for my wife at the weekend have come out nicely.

Today I got her some flowers for Valentines Day as well.

Day 3696 (12/02/2020)

My alarm was set for 4:20am, which was about 5hrs early than I prefer but I had to fly to Belfast to give evidence at Court for a client, where it was cold with snow on the hills.

I could see the iconic cranes at Harland and Wolff from the court and then popped in to use the toilets at the nearby Hilton Hotel, where I spent numerous weeks staying when we used to do surveillance.

Then off to the airport for a 6hrs wait, which was broken by chatting to a documentary crew who were there with Kellie Maloney.

I hadn't eaten all day, so it was nice to get something at the airport.

Day 3695 (11/02/2020)

It was a stressful day, with the car breaking down on the way to a funeral, thankfully it was just out of water and over-heating, which i managed to sort out at Bridgwater services, where it was freezing.

I hate funerals, even if the funerals aren't sad, if they are for old people or for people who I didn't care about, I just really hate funerals and getting older doesn't make things easier.

I felt in the need of fish & chips in the evening, which was lovely.

Monday 10 February 2020

Day 3694 (10/02/2020)

After a wet & windy weekend, its was still cold and awful and I was still full of a cold.

Had a few things to do but still popped out to the the library, where I had a nice bacon roll & a cuppa tea before saying hello to the PCC :-)

Hopefully I should now be home for valentines day as I have put Oman off for a couple of weeks.

Day 3692 & 3693 (08 & 09/02/2020)

The weekend but still full of a cold, so not doing much.

Made a nice curry in the evening.

On Sunday still full of a cold but a few bottles of lager helped.

Did a nice roast chicken dinner, with some nice brussel sprouts with bacon lardons.
