Day 4533 (30/05/2022)

Back to work but thankfully it's a short week.

Day 4531 & 4532 (28 & 29/05/2022)

Its the weekend and it could be a hot one. We started with a nice breakfast.

Then we spent time in the garden, still painting the decking, and moved a tree which had started to grown in the flower bed and put it at the front to add some privacy. 

It was looking a bit under the weather afterwards, so fingers crossed it survives the transplant.

Did a nice salad in the evening.

Sunday I saw my parents for breakfast, then home and cut the grass and painted a bit more of the decking.

Then I did nice slow cooked lamb joint for dinner.

Very tasty. 

Day 4530 (27/05/2022)

Another busy day in the office but at least I now a have a lovely computer to work on. 

Day 4529 (26/05/2022)

Picked up my new computer, which is so fast, its lovely but it was expensive and I spent the rest of the day installing all of the software I need and setting it up properly.

  

Day 4528 (25/05/2022)

I dropped my computer off at the computer Doctors first thing, then off to the train station, where there was time for break fast before catching a train into London to see a friend for a catch-up.

We had lunch opposite HMS Belfast. 

Then I had a few hours in London to kill, so became a tourist for the day, seeing Tower Bridge, the Shard, the Tower of London and the Old Roman City Wall.

Then went in for a quick visit to the Natural History Museum and the V&A.

Before popping in to Harrods to buy my wife a present.

Then off to Paddington for a bite to eat.

 

Then off to the First Class Lounge to stock up on some free nibbles and use the facilities, then a train home.

Day 4527 (24/05/2022)

Busy in the office, as I'm in London tomorrow and my computer is really struggling, so am getting a new one.

Nice Pizza in the evening after being online.  

Day 4526 (23/05/2022)

Another busy day in the office and we went to the garden centre in the afternoon to buy some large pots but obviously had to have some lunch there as well. 

Then in the evening I made a nice meal using up the left over vodka rigatoni from the freezer and inspired by our holiday I did some prawn and chorizo & halloumi skewer’s to go with it.

Day 4524 & 4525 (21 & 22/05/2022)

It's the weekend, starting with a nice brunch.

I did a few things in the office, then bought some food for later and then started tidying the garden and painting the decking, which was an uncomfortable experience :-(

In the evening I made a very tasty paella.

Sunday I saw  my parents, then gave the decking a second coat and painted the metal work on the shed, which made it look a lot better after I had treated it.

In the evening I made a roast chicken dinner.

Day 4523 (20/05/2022)

Busy in the office but wanted to do a meal in the evening inspired from our holiday in Cornwall, so got some Hake (they only had small pieces) and Gucci cheesy chips, which tasted nearly as good as the ones we had.

But we started with some garlic doughballs and a can of G&T leftover from the holiday.
