Day 3104 & 3105 (30/06 & 01/07/2018)

I woke up felling a bit better, still with a cough & cold but a bit more refreshed, and had a nice breakfast.

Yesterday I only had a bowl of cereals and an ice-lolly (for my throat) but am not starving. As it's the weekend I a off my diet, well for the main meal anyway but I will try to stay off of the cake & biscuits.

We went off to Bridgwater in the afternoon and then I made a Mexican in the evening.

On Sunday it was time for a new Kylie photo on the calendar.

I got a new pump from eBay for my wife's solar water feature, that seems to work better than the old one.

I did a roast pork with my attempt at a Jamie Oliver potato al forno, not quite how he made it but tasty.

Day 3103 (29/06/2018)

Woke up feeling like crap and spent the day not feeling much better.

Hopefully it kick-started my diet, new life style.

Day 3102 (28/06/2018)

Golly it's been hot this week but cooler than New York, so we are not suffering that much but is probably why I have been waking early.

Also still keeping up my diet but really feeling under the weather at the moment :-(

Day 3101 (27/06/2018)

Another hot day, with work to do. Our new washing machine arrived.

Then I went off to an interesting meeting about some future work which I meant I had to wear long trousers for the first time in around a month.

Then back to work, with my shorts back on :-)

Day 3100 (26/06/2018)

It was an early start with the window cleaner and then the old washing was collected, then time to go back to work in the office.

I am currently trying to live healthy for a change, well during the week, not weekends. So I'm not having lunch or and more cakes etc but having lots of fruit and having beans on toast every night.

Although my wife & Thomas ordered a pizza :-(

Monday 25 June 2018

Day 3099 (25/06/2018)

It's back to work, in the heat with lots to catch-up with.

The new grass is nice and healthy, after my Dad watered it whilst we were away but my gardener has said it is now too hot to cut it, even though it is really long. But I had to walk on it to cut the rose bush back a little, as it was so heavy it was leaning over nearly on to the grass.

In the evening I watered the grass whilst they watched Love Island.

Day 3098 (24/06/2018)

It was nice to be back in my own bed but slightly jet lagged. I got up early to get some supplies from Tesco's, with some flowers for my wife.

And stuff for a nice breakfast.

In the evening we went to see my Mum & Dad for a few hours.

Day 3097 (23/06/2018)

It was a very early start as we were being picked up at 4:15am for our flight but unfortunately I wasn't feeling well, which may have been why I was feeling so exhausted.

We were the row behind the kids on the way back and as it was so early there was a lot less wine this time :-)

Getting thru security back into the UK was surprisingly easy, in fact as easy as it was 4 years ago, so I hope that thing are now settled on that front.

Then it was the coach back to the car park and a drive home.

Day 3096 (22/06/2018)

Our last full day in New York, so we decided to have a dinner brunch and ended up at The Westway diner, where Jerry Seinfeld & Larry David had discussed making a show, which eventually became Seinfeld.

The food was quite nice.

I wasn't feeling great, so had a chill-out day, whilst everyone else went our exploring.

In the evening we went for a Mexican.

We then went back to the hotel, whilst Lee went out to see a show.

Day 3092 (18/06/2018)

We had a bit of a relaxing morning and grabbed a quick drink and a danish at the next door coffee shop.

Then we were meeting at Carragher's Bar to watch the England game, which was fun & lively.

Then in the evening we went to an Italian for diner.

Day 3091 (17/06/2018)

Our room, on the 20th floor, has a very classic New York view with skyscrapers and rooftop water tanks / towers.

We had a diner brunch, why was very nice.

Had a great Fathers Day card from the kids.

And then we went for a wander around Times Square, in the heat, ending up the Hard Rock Cafe for a cooling drink.

We went back to the hotel, where they had a rooftop bar, giving a great view of the city.

Then we went to the hotel restaurant.

I had some nice shrimp & calamari.

Then a lobster mac’n cheese, very nice :-)

Then we went back to the rooftop bar to see the city at night, which was very nice.
