Another really busy day in the office, still stressed over the copyright case but fingers crossed for a positive result.

It was an early start and a long drive to Eastleigh to give a talk, which I really only agreed to as they said they would provide pizza.
I'm clearly a push over and not a very good businessman but the talk went down well and hopefully we will get some courses from it as a result.
In the evening we could have more pizza but I fancied some fish & chips, so we shared some.
Then I made a very nice carrot cake.
A busy day.

It is a lot cooler this week but I am really busy and so in need of our upcoming holiday.
It is a stressful week or two with potentially big movement on my copyright case. If it goes how i hope then it should be settled within the next month and I should be more than happy. If they carry on in their current attitude this might not happen but once again things are moving to a head one way or another.

Day 2734 & 2735 (24 & 25/06/2017)
It's a lot cooler now and has rained a bit.
Have work to do, so its looking like I will spend most of it in the office, whilst watching the Glastonbury coverage feeling very old.
On Saturday we had some more lasagna.
On Sunday, my parents were away so no breakfast trip over to theirs, so it was just more work, then a nice prawn & avocado starter.
With some nice pork chops for dinner.

33 years since i first met this woman and fell in love.
True to say she has aged much better than me.
Made a nice lasagna and creamed carrot's for dinner in the evening.
Very tasty dinner and a lovely chilled bottle of Presecco.

The day started with a tasty & fairly healthy breakfast.
Then I went to the storage unit to pick up my big office fan as it really is so hot and the small desk fan was just not up to cooling the whole houise :-(
That's better :-).
Lee went home after their brief visit, looking forward to all being together on our holiday soon.

Day 2727 & 2728 (17 & 18/06/2017)
Up early on Saturday to finish some reports and still a few things to do, so not as relaxing as I had hoped.
Even though I was busy I made time to bake, this weeks its a lemon cake.
Obviously at the moment I only make cakes in a loaf shape, its easier (to find the tin).
Anyway it turned out quite nice and I even did a light icing glaze.
I made a nice dinner in the evening
And then was surprised by Lee coming home for Fathers Day.
We had breakfast with my parents on Sunday, so it was good to see my Dad on Fathers Day as for various reasons I have missed a few breakfasts recently.
In the afternoon we had some sushi.
Then in the evening a nice Chinese.

Another busy day in the office, hoping to relax a little bit this weekend but still have reports that need doing.

A busy morning in the office then off to my pensioners meeting in the evening, where I thought it was important to celebrate the victory, so I took along a few chilled bottles of champagne so everyone could have a glass.
On the way back the motorway was closed, so a 20 minute turned into an 80 minute journey :-(

Another busy day in the office but I'm getting closer to my staff doing more and me having some free time, which I desperately need.

It started as a normal day, with still loads of work to do but before lunch I heard that our constant pointing out of the law to my former employers had eventually got them to make the announcement that they would no longer be reviewing our pensions.
It has taken far too long but still came as a shock, as we have a number of court actions pending against them (still) and there was no indication that they were going to change their approach.
Whilst it could have made life slightly difficult for us, others were having to sell their houses in case they were unable to make mortgage payments should their pensions be reduced.
So all in all it was very welcome but we will not stop our campaign until we get a full apology and those responsible lose their jobs. Plus people in other parts of the country are still at risk, so we need to keep the pressure on until it is a national government order that they will never try to review us again.
Anyway to celebrate we had two for Tuesday :-)

Day 2720 & 2721 (10 & 11/06/2017)
A weekend spent in the office working but always time for baking, this week it was a coffee & walnut cake, which was OK a bit dry and may be next time a touch more coffee.
I did a Mexican, with nacho's and wraps in the evening.
On Sunday some friends were visiting my Mum & Dad's, so I didn't go over for breakfast but when my wife came home we went over for tea & cake, which was nice.
Then we went home and had a quick but nice Italian for dinner.

It was an early start with breakfast and then straight into the rest of the meeting.
Thankfully we managed to get it all sorted by just after lunch and so we could leave early and it meant I was home for dinner with my wife.

An early morning and a drive into Birmingham and then a day of management meetings.
We stayed at the same hotel as it has great facilities for our meetings.
I didn't get a full suite this time but I did get a nice sized room with a separate kitchen & lounge, which I never had time to use.
In the evening we went to Akrams the curry house I last visited in 2004 and had the same meal as 13 yrs ago.
Quite a productive day and nice evening.

Day 2713 & 2714 (03 & 04/06/2017)
A busy weekend with still lots of reports that need doing.
Even though I was busy I made a banana & walnut cake, possibly my first ever and it looked great.
My wife had a bet on the Derby today and got a free £10 bet which she offered to me. I had a quick look and put £5 each way on Wings Of Eagles and surprisingly won £120 :-)
I did some nice lamb steak wraps, with a tomato & mozzarella salad for dinner.
More awful events, this time in London but thankfully our family & friends are safe and it could have been so much worse for everyone.
Sunday and I did some nice trout with roasted vine tomatoes.

A busy morning working in the office, then out for a quick haircut.
Then off to Birmingham, in the worst traffic ever, to see Take That.
All Saints were the support and they were quite good.
Then Take That did just under 2hrs of great entertainment, with brilliant visuals, a great show and plenty of old classics.
Then on the the walk back to the car we got soaked, so had a slightly uncomfortable drive home.
