When they turned up I recognised the main man straight away and after only 30 seconds remembered that we had been at the same place in Devizes on a driving course in 1990, where I recalled him singing "sitting in the dock of the bay" of an evening in the bar, most nights.
I think he was a bit surprised at my memory for irrelevant facts but the meeting went well.
Then lunch in the pub next door with a few nibbles to keep us going.
Then we had another meeting in the afternoon, with a company we want to buy out. It went well, proving that we wanted what they had to offer but it might be that they want too much to buy them out, so we might have to spend a few months creating it ourselves.
Then it was off to the Union Jack Club for a few drinks and then dinner.
Then back to the hotel where they had nibbles just been packed away, so time for some cheese & biscuits :-)
