Day 3022 (09/04/2018)

Back to work but not overly busy as things haven't changed at work although I might soften my attitude slightly.

I also went to the gym for the first time in a long time.

Day 3020 & 3021 (07 & 08/04/2018)

Weekend and Thomas went off to see some friends in Bournemouth.

Then we had a nice breakfast, then Lee went back home.

In the afternoon we went to Bridgwater and then I made a nice pasta dish in the evening.

On Sunday we went off to Yeovil early and had fish and chips at a pub before getting to the theatre.

 

 

 

A very good evening, even my wife enjoyed it.

Day 3019 (06/04/2018)

I had to have a hair cut as it was touching my ears, I went for quite a short look this time.

In the evening Lee made Burritos which were really nice.

Day 3018 (05/04/2018)

I had plenty to do in the office but I'm still winding down.

In the afternoon I had a meeting with someone who had recently retired from the police and was starting work as an investigator and wanted a bit of advice.

It is quite nice now, as I am finishing earlier and able to sit and watch the telly with the family.

Day 3017 (04/04/2018)

I went to Taunton Race Course to give a talk to my Dad's Probus (retired manager types) group.

 

I think he was quite relieved that I was very well received, I on the other hand know how good I am and how interesting I make my talks, so it was just another chat in exchange for a meal for me :-)

Nice braised beef followed by bread & butter pudding.

Day 3016 (03/04/2018)

Back to work after the nice long Bank Holiday break.

The Avon and Somerset Constabulary History & Heritage Facebook Group released a load of Photos from S and I aw the following from February 1986, so young and so much slimmer.

I gave blood in the afternoon, in exchange for tea & biscuits :-)

Then in the evening we did a two for Tuesday.

It was another relaxing Bank Holiday at home with the family, just chilling.

Day 3013 & 3014 (31/03 & 01/04/2018)

Easter Weekend, started with some chocolates and Easter crumpets.

 

I made a taco & nacho Mexican for dinner, which was very tasty.

In the afternoon I made a banana and pecan brad and butter pudding, which wasn't that bad.

Sunday was the 1st of April, so a new Kyle calendar day.

Did a nice roast for Sunday dinner.

Day 3012 (30/03/2018)

It's Good Friday and I will be enjoying the long Easter Weekend with my family, not really thinking or caring about work.

My wife's Easter Egg.

It's Good Friday, so despite wanting Lee to make Burrito's we had to have fish, so I insisted on a bottle of wine :-)

Day 3011 (29/03/2018)

There are still strained emotions at work but I feel that the company will continuing and could even be successful (as we had put in most of the hard work required) but it will be without me.

In the short term I shall have a reduced role but after a few months I shall have little to no more involvement and will relax and then get on with the next stage of my life.

I bought my wife some flowers for Easter.

Day 3010 (28/03/2018)

I think the relationship with my business partner is now terminal, so I will be retired within the next few weeks and am really looking forward to it.

Looking forward to being able to relax after quite a busy and gruelling 22years of running my own businesses.

Day 3009 (27/03/2018)

First thing we all went to the dentist for a check-up and only have to go back for a bit of a clean-up.

In the evening we had a 2-4-Tuesday pizza evening watching the football on the telly.

Day 3008 (26/03/2018)

It was clear that the weekend had not changed either Richard or my attitude to working together, so I did some work but am definitely winding down to retirement.

We went to hospital in the afternoon for Thomas and basically received good news but he wont necessarily be fully recovered for a little while more.

Day 3006 & 3007 (24 & 25/03/2018)

A nice breakfast to start the day.

I did a bit of work but am definitely winding own and no longer wish to work.

We had a nice prawn & avocado starters.

And gnocchi, with chicken in a tomato sauce for dinner.

Very nice.

Sunday I did a roast pork, with best ever crackling :-)

 

 

And drank a lovely bottle of fizz :-)

Day 3005 (23/03/2018)

I avoided my business partner today but posted him a message saying he had the weekend to think which if the two options he wanted to choose, I just got on with stuff.

In the evening my wife and I went to a wine tasting evening at the Rumwell Farm Shop.

The wine were;

Cava Bella Conchi N.V. – sparkling from Spain – to be served on arrival
Bucci Verdicchio 2014, Italian – white
Powers Viognier 2013, USA Columbia Valley, Washington State – white
Kaiken Malbec 2016, Argentinian, Mendoza – red
Zisola Nero D’Avola 2015, Noto, Sicily – red
Domaine des Chenes Rivesaltes Ambre 2005, Sweet amber from South of France – Languedoc

Whilst the food was;

On arrival attendees will be shown to their table where they will be served with a wild mushroom soup.

Italian stuffed chicken or stuffed aubergine with herb mash and Italian beans.

Followed by cheese and biscuits.

Quite a lovely evening.

Day 3004 (22/03/2018)

I started the day quite positive from yesterdays meeting but early on my business partner posted a few rants about how he thought the meeting had gone and what we had done to him - not quite how I remembered it.

I didn't like his attitude and certainly don't fancy running everything in the UK, so am content to walk away and retire for good, which actually feels good.

The slightly annoying bit is we were so close to starting to sell our software which we had spent so long and so much money developing, so we will never be rich and it was so close.

Oh well time to start winding down.

Day 3003 (21/03/2018)

I was an outrageously early start as I had to catch and get to London for a 9am start, thankfully the meeting started with a nice breakfast.

 
The meeting appeared to go well and lunch was nice.

The meeting went on until the early and we had a couple of drinks to finish before catch the train back home.

I busy day in the office.

There was more snow, so I drove my wife. to work and back.

More stuff to do in the office.

Day 2999 & 3000 (17 & 18/03/2018)

I had quite a few things to do this weekend but opted for a relaxing time with the family.

We had a slice of the duck egg east er cake, quite rich but tasty :-)

I made a curry in the evening, which was quite tasty.

 

It snowed over night, so there was quite a bit on the cars but the road was clear.

 

Did a nice roast beef on for dinner.
