Day 3724 (11/03/2020)

We were up early but by the time we were ready and had sorted out the car we were a bit behind schedule but made it to Bournemouth to meet Thomas for lunch.

Then we took him to football and checked into our hotel, The Hotel Celebrity, which had a historical connection to Tony Hancock.

 

The room quite nice (we had the Lawrence of Arabia room) but the bed was quite small :-(

Then back to see Thomas playing football.

 

 Then back top change before a very nice Italian meal .

 

 

 

 

   

 

It was a nice night and was great to catch-up with Thomas.

  

Day 3723 (10/03/2020)

Spent the day in the office, hopefully I've done enough so we can go away tomorrow. Now we just need the coronavirus to stay away.

Day 3722 (09/03/2020)

My wife has the week off and I have lots still to do but aiming to have a relaxed week and a few days away seeing the kids.

Went out to Bridgwater in the afternoon, in the rain.

Day 3720 & 3721 (07 & 08/03/2020)

It is the weekend and it was lovely to wake up in my own bed.

As I had been away there was a delayed start to the new month on my Kylie calendar.

Spent time doing some stuff in the office, then went out shopping in the afternoon, not panic buying, just getting stuff for dinner and bought my wife some flowers.

Then I made a nice Italian meal for dinner.

Then we had cheese & biscuits.

Did a nice lamb dinner on Sunday.

Day 3719 (06/03/2020)

Up very early to fly back to the UK. Muscat airport was lovely, very modern and airy, with lovely facilities for business & first class passengers.

 

Then on to the flight, for a slightly longer flight home (against the wind apparently).

I watched Baby Driver, which was OK, JoJo Rabbit, which was still brilliant, Ford versus Ferrari, which was OK and I saw all but the last 20minutes of Gemini Man, which was all right but predictable. I would have watched Rocket Man again but it wasn't on the system anymore.

Breakfast was quite nice.

 

 

Then dinner arrived, with only one choice of lunch on the flight, Arabic plata, with bloody humus & flat bread, just what I didn't fancy after a week in Muscat. 

It was nice to eventually get home and we went out to The Worlds End to celebrate getting back.
 

   

 

 

 

 

Day 3718 (05/03/2020)

Last day of the course and they seemed happy enough and I might go back at some stage, then in the evening I went for a walk around.

 

 

I saw a KFC and thought it wold make a nice changes from humus & flatbread, which it was but its wasn't UK KFC, I was looking forward to a family bucket with all the sides but they really only did burgers but the milkshake was nice.

Then more of a walk around.

         

 

Then back to the hotel to pack.

Day 3717 (04/03/2020)

Another day of trying to cram 7hrs training into 3 hrs but I am covering the important bits.

I went to the same place for dinner tonight, ordered less but as my card spend was so low, they added to it, with extra flat breads & humus :-(

 

 

Day 3716 (03/03/2020)

Another day spent training and then doing some work on my laptop.

In the evening I went to a different restaurant, where people were mostly expected on the floor to eat but luckily had a few tables and chairs for people like me. 

The food was quite nice but I ordered too much humus and flat bread.

 

 

Day 3715 (02/03/2020)

Day 2 of the course, which is a bit rushed due to the limited hours.

Getting used to having dates for breakfast.

In the evening I went out for a walk and had a curry.
