Day 3698 (14/02/2020)

Valentines Day and my wife made me a nice breakfast, with heart shaped crumpets :-)

After my wife came home we got ready and went for a romantic evening at the Dartbridge Inn.

The room was very nice but it was a bit annoying that they had double booked our table and had sold out of many of the items on the menu.

   

 

   

 

 

 

 
But we enjoyed ourselves as always.

Day 3697 (13/02/2020)

It was nice to not get up before 5am but it was a busy day catching up in the office.

The daffodils I got for my wife at the weekend have come out nicely.

Today I got her some flowers for Valentines Day as well.

Day 3696 (12/02/2020)

My alarm was set for 4:20am, which was about 5hrs early than I prefer but I had to fly to Belfast to give evidence at Court for a client, where it was cold with snow on the hills.

I could see the iconic cranes at Harland and Wolff from the court and then popped in to use the toilets at the nearby Hilton Hotel, where I spent numerous weeks staying when we used to do surveillance.

Then off to the airport for a 6hrs wait, which was broken by chatting to a documentary crew who were there with Kellie Maloney.

I hadn't eaten all day, so it was nice to get something at the airport.

Day 3695 (11/02/2020)

It was a stressful day, with the car breaking down on the way to a funeral, thankfully it was just out of water and over-heating, which i managed to sort out at Bridgwater services, where it was freezing.

I hate funerals, even if the funerals aren't sad, if they are for old people or for people who I didn't care about, I just really hate funerals and getting older doesn't make things easier.

I felt in the need of fish & chips in the evening, which was lovely.

Day 3694 (10/02/2020)

After a wet & windy weekend, its was still cold and awful and I was still full of a cold.

Had a few things to do but still popped out to the the library, where I had a nice bacon roll & a cuppa tea before saying hello to the PCC :-)

 

Hopefully I should now be home for valentines day as I have put Oman off for a couple of weeks.

Day 3692 & 3693 (08 & 09/02/2020)

The weekend but still full of a cold, so not doing much.

Made a nice curry in the evening.

On Sunday still full of a cold but a few bottles of lager helped.

Did a nice roast chicken dinner, with some nice brussel sprouts with bacon lardons.

Woke up full of a cold, ass did my wife :-(

We even had to cancel our meal tonight with my parents due to our colds

More time in the office but had a good meeting at Exeter University.

Another busy day in the office but I took my wife's car to the garage to get the balancing and tracking sorted after driving it yesterday.

Had an interesting conference call in the afternoon.

An early start with my car off to the garage and then back to the office for an couple of hours before a meeting in Tiverton.

February already, so a new photo of Kylie on the calendar, with a retro 1980's look.

Then a nice breakfast.

In the afternoon we went off to Bridgwater & Bristol, then home via Weston Super Mare and a little walk along the seafront.

Sunday I saw my parents and then did some work and made a nice roast dinner.

Very tasty.

 
And chocolate brownie with fruit for afters.

Another busy day in the office and then off to a friends house warming party in the evening.

Quite a nice place and made me think about having an apartment in a big house.

I popped over to see my mum first thing to wish her happy birthday and then caught the train to London for a meeting.

Luckily I managed to get a good deal on a First Class ticket.

Then a useful meeting in London.

Then out for a drink and a meal on them :-)

 

Then home via Paddington.

Busy in the office and then we popped out to drop a present off for someones birthday and ended up staying for part of their party, which was lovely.

It's the weekend but it was an early start than normal as we went off to Bournemouth to see Thomas, which was nice but a bit chilly.

 

On Sunday I popped into to see my parents then home and made a nice roast lamb dinner.

Off to the Doctors in the morning for a blood test and then off to Cardiff at lunchtime for a meeting.
