Day 5962 (30/04/2026)

I was up early to do some work and managed to get into the dentists, to sort out my painful tooth. 

The dentists discovered it had split in two, and needed to be pulled out, which meant injections in my mouth, but I needed it doing, so eventually it came out.   

My mouth was numb for ages, hopefully it will be loads better now. 

It was a nice sunny day, so I decided to walk home from town, to make up for not going to the gym today, and probably wouldn't have done 18months ago, when I was considerably larger.

In the evening we had a nice and very soft to eat cheesy tuna pasta. 

Day 5961 (29/04/2026)

I was up early, as had an online training session, which went OK.  

I had a leftover wrap when my wife came home, so didn't really feel like dinner later. 

Day 5960 (28/04/2026)

I was up early to do some work, and then go off to the gym, and to charge my car. 

Then home for breakfast with my wife, and I struggled to finish my crumpets, which admittedly were covered in cheese when I was eating them.  

I did loads of work, and we popped out for a coffee & a cake, to relax.  

In the evening my wife made a very nice veggie moussaka. 

Day 5959 (27/04/2026)

A busy day in the office, with work that's needs doing, and training to prepare for, which it taking longer than I first realised, as they wanted new content, and there has been so many changed over the last 6 months, but I'm fairly happy with how its going.

We shared the leftover curry in the evening, but didn't have a bottle of Cobra with it, not even a bottle of Kingfisher, which doesn't seem quite right, a bit like not have mango chutney with a curry, it's just not right.  

Day 5957 & 5958 (25 & 26/04/2026)

It's the weekend, and I had work to catch-up on and then we had a nice brunch.  

We had an early dinner, with some tasty chicken wraps (with veggie chicken for Thomas) and cheesy chips, as my wife was going out with some people from work. 

Very tasty, and much better than the ones from McDonalds. 

On Sunday, I went to see my parents for breakfast, then home, to do some chores, like putting out the flowers I had bought my wife, 

watering the garden,

and making a curry ready for the evening.  I fancied an old-school 1970's style mince beef (veggie) madras.  

I also made a nice saag paneer, which we all like. 

It was all very tasty. 

With a few extra sides, and a nice chilled bottle of cobra. 

Day 5956 (24/04/2026)

Up fairly early and into the office to do some work, had a nice brunch.

And an even better lunch, sharing some sushi and a nice bun. 

We had a quick fish pie for dinner, then off to the Brewhouse to see Andy Parsons, who was really funny.  

Day 5955 (23/04/2026)

A busy day in the office, with research work to do, some articles to write and training to prepare for.  

In the afternoon I cleaned some more of the garden, and set up the table and chairs for the summer. 

I will definitely get the house and garden done this year and spend more time enjoying it all. 

We had some leftover pizza when my wife came home, so in the evening I was quite full, so just had a burger and not all of the chips and stuff.  

Day 5954 (22/04/2026)

Back to work and back at the gym.

Put some more cleaning fluid down on the patio. 

My wife was going out with some work friends in the evening, so bough me & Thomas the world biggest pizzas for dinner, which was started but clearly were never going to get thru. Even old me would have struggled. 

Day 5953 (21/04/2026)

Tuesday was a busy day, I was up and out fairly early, first to my Mum & Dads to sort out his printer (again), then off to the tip and storage unit, then off to charge the car and go to the gym.

Life will be a lot easier and an awful lot cheaper when we have our home charger fitted, but I am quite impressed at how easy it is to charge the car, especially when you can just plug it in and go to the gym for an hour, and its then all done when you finish. 

Then home to have a quick shower and then go out with my wife for a few things, and a little lunch at the garden center, sharing a very nice cheese scone, and a flapjack. 

  

Then back home to do some work, and have some pasta in the evening. 

Day 5952 (20/04/2026)

Back to work, with lots to do to prepare for next weeks training. 

We finished off the creamy potato & fennel and sausages when my wife came home from work, which meant I was too full for actual dinner in the evening, so just had some leftovers of the kebab stuff.  

Day 5950 & 5951 (18 & 19/04/2026)

The weekend is here, and I had a relaxing start to the day, doing some work in the office, then had a nice brunch.

Then started to clean some of the patio, with the cleaning fluid I bought, which seemed quite strong. 

I then went off to Tesco's, put my car on a short slow charge and bough some things for dinner. 

in the evening I made some tasty vegi kebab type things. 

All very nice, with a lovely G&T.

On Sunday I was down the patio after using the cleaning fluid, and it has started to come up quite nice. 

Then I went out, I couldn't get my car on a charger at Tesco's, which was slightly annoying, so after visiting my Mum & Dad for breakfast, I went up to Wellington and gave it a 15 minute charge, so Thomas wouldn't have any trouble getting to work and back. 

I made a nice dinner, with a potato & fennel, in a (vegi) cream & cheese sauce, with pork chops (vegi sausages for Thomas) and some veg. 

Very tasty, with a nice chilled glass (or two) of pinot.
