Day 6044 (21/07/2026)

I was up early as I had a few things to do in the morning, having a call about leasing an EV, then had someone round to quote for putting in an car charger. 

Then after lunch, we moved al the plants and stuff off of the patio slabs, as they are being cleaned, dug up and then relayed this week. 

Then to work, monitoring another event. online. 

Day 6043 (20/07/2026)

Another lovely day in Somerset, but thankfully not as hot as the other week. I took my wife t work, as I needed the car, then went to the tip, which was packed, before going off to the gym.

Then home to freshen up, then took my Dad to the eye clinic, and then picked my wife up after work, and made us a nice salad when we got home.  

Day 6041 & 6042 (18 & 19/07/2026)

The weekend, and I had a few things to do in the office first thing, then I went out to water the garden before brunch.  

Then I went to get some supplies for dinner, popped in to see my parents and aunty Carol, who is visiting for a few days. I bought my wife some flowers, and then went home to do some actual DIY and car mechanics (well, I cleaned the outside lights and changed the blown light bulbs, and using a drill, put up a new solar light near the bins, which aren't covered by the existing outside lights, then filled up the cars washer bottles).

Then I made a nice salad for diner.   

When it was dark I went outside to check on the lights, which were much better.  

Then we watched England win in the 3-4 / Bronze medal game of the World Cup, which was just so frustration, as they hadn't played that well for whole of the tournament. 

Sunday I saw my parents, and aunty Carol for breakfast, then went to tip, which was packed, before going home to do some bits before making a very tasty spaghetti bolognaise for dinner.  

Did a nice capris salad, with some garlic bread, but forgot to take a photo of my dinner, until I had eaten half of it, but it was tasty.   

Went out to water the garden, and made my own rainbows. 

Then in to watch the World Cup Final, which thankfully Argentinian lost, the horrible cheating gits. 

Day 6040 (17/07/2026)

A quiet day, as I had work to do but we popped out for a quick lunch at Sheppy's, we shared a fish finger sandwich and slice of Bakewell tart, with a nice latte.

Then back to work. 

We then finished off some of the leftovers for dinner, which I had in-front of my computer as I was working until quite late. 

Day 6039 (16/07/2026)

It was Thomas's Birthday but he didn't ant to do much, so hadn't taken the day off of work, even though his mother had taken the day off. 

We went out to test drive an EV, a big Peugeot E5008, but were slightly annoyed at the state of the car we had booked to drive, so I wont be going back to Howard's.

We went home and had the leftover Mexican for lunch.      

Thomas was back a little bit late, and didn't fancy going out for dinner, so we had a takeaway, from a Chinese / noodle bar , which was very nice. 

And we had some nice Birthday cake. 

A quiet but hopefully nice Birthday. 

Day 6038 (15/07/2026)

It is still really lovely weather but thankfully a bit cooler now, with a nice breeze. I went to the gym in the afternoon, which was fairly exhausting. 

Then I went to the garage to make sure the cars tyres were all OK, which they were just about, just a bit of glue and getting the tracking sorted.  

In the evening I made a tasty Mexican, with some burrito's and quesadilla's.   

They were awful wraps to try and wrap, a bit too small and quite crumbly / brittle, which is my excuse for the state of my burrito's.  

But it was all tasty. 

Then we watched the football, and England lose to Argentina in the World Cup semi-finals. 

Day 6037 (14/07/2026)

I was up early, taking the car to the garage, and then to the gym, where embarrassingly I am still shown as member of the month, and was wearing the same t-shirt. 

I charged the car up when I was at the gym, and am just so impressed with it. The mileage is looking a lot better now, after, presumably, we have driven it more carefully than the previous owners.   

Then we popped out for lunch, sharing a nice cheesy scone, and an afternoon tea. 

Then we went for teast drive, of an MG, then home to do some work. 

Had a nice burger, chips and salad in the evening. 

 

Day 6036 (13/07/2026)

I had my wife's car today, sop dropped her at work, took some stuff to the tip and to the storage unit, then went to the gym.

Then back to work, and after picking my wife up, we had the leftover salad for an early dinner. 

Day 6034 & 6035 (11 & 12/07/2026)

The weekend is here, and I did some work, setting up some new profile on some new mobiles. 

Then we had a nice sausage sandwich breakfast.  

I did some shopping and got some sushi & yum-yums for lunch. 

Then in the evening I made a quick veggi spaghetti carbonara. 

Not perfect but quite tasty.  

Sunday I saw my parents for breakfast, then home, and quite busy, as I was working, monitoring some things online. Also made a nice salad when my wife came home.
