Day 6025 (02/07/2026)

I felt slightly more human after a nights sleep but still not quite back to normal. I had to go to my parents first thing, to sort out a few things, then came home to do some work.

I hadn't felt great during the night, so ended up laying on the couch after a few hours in bed, I felt better but still really bad, my whole head was in agony, although it was nice not to have the pain from the tooth.

We had pizza in the evening, which was tasty but a struggle as my jaw was still aching.

Day 6023 (30/06/2026)

I was up early, and then off to the dentists, and 4 injections and 20 minutes of struggling later my tooth was out.

It was massive and put up quite a fight. I didn't take a photo of the other side, which showed a crack going all the way down the tooth, so it needed to come out. I went home, doing some work but felt awful, and had to lay down for a while.

After a few hours I felt slightly more human, and had a soft to eat pasta for dinner, then went to bed early.

Day 6022 (29/06/2026)

All back at work and thankfully its a lot cooler this week. The infection is a lot better and I can't wait to have my painful tooth out.

I made a nice late lunch / early dinner for us when my wife came home from work, using the leftover sauce from yesterdays dinner, with some rice, like a cheats quick risotto, with the leftover salmon.

And then later Thomas had the leftover soup.

Day 6020 & 6021 (27 & 28/06/2026)

The weekend and still a few hours to relax until properly back at work (well for my wife anyway). We had a nice brunch.

And some more salad for diner.

On Sunday my poor wife went back to work, in her uniform in the heat, even though it was a bit cooler now, it was still hot to be in a uniform after two weeks, spent mostly in shorts & t-shirt.

I saw my parents for breakfast, then went home and made a nice poached salmon dish I had seen online.

Very tasty, but I probably made a bit too much sauce.

And I made a big Tiramisu with the leftovers, for us to share, which was very nice.

Day 6019 (26/06/2026)

Another really hot day. The antibiotics are working but still in pain. We finished off the salad for lunch.

Then in the evening i made a very tasty Cullen Skink, which I has seen Rick Stein do a few days ago.

Very tasty, and quite easy to make.

Then we had a make your own Tiramisu for afters, inspired by my wife's afters on holiday.

Quite fun and also quite tasty.

Day 6018 (25/06/2026)

It is really really hot and I am in lots of pain with a painful tooth. Luckily I managed to get in to see the dentist, my tooth has cracked and needs pulling out but despite 6 injections, the infection I have was still making it too painful to take out, so I have to take the tablets and come back next week.

I did some work during the day and my wife made a lovely salad in the evening.

Day 6017 (24/06/2026)

The hotel room was very hot, as it is a lovely (overly hot) summer, so sleep wasn't great but we had a lazy morning, then checked-out and had a lovely brunch in Cannons Marsh / Hotwells, we went for a strawberry split smoothie and Sonotto, which was really tasty.
