It's the weekend, and I was up early, to do a bit of work and to take my Dad out to the garden centre, then home for a nice bacon sandwich for brunch.
In the evening we took my Mum & Dad out to Venezia, a nice Italian restaurant we have been to a few times now.
We had some lovely Cheesy Garlic Bread and a Burrata (Finest Italian creamy cheese served in a bed of pea pure, rocket salad, croutons, parma-ham & toasted pistachios) for starters.
Then I had the Filetto Di Maiale, a pan cooked medallion of pork fillet in a creamy tarragon, demi-glae sauce, mushrooms & red onions. Served with new potatoes, carrots & broccoli, which was very nice.
Then we had some nice Cannolli Sicilian, with lots of pistachio, and Banana Cannolli (tortilla wrapped and filled with fresh bananas, walnuts and caramel sauce, deep fried, served with vanilla ice cream, which was served warm).
Sunday I saw my parents for breakfast, then home to do some bits & pieces.
