Day 2832 & 2833 (30/09 & 01/10/2017)

The weekend is here already but I still have loads of work to catch-up on.

Made a nice dinner Saturday evening.


Steak, sausage, cauliflower cheese and potato courgettes :-)



A new month an a new picture on the Kylie calendar, possibly the worst so far, as you should never box wearing denim.


I bought my wife fresh flowers on Sundays (as I do every other week).


Then I did a roast chicken dinner on Sunday evening.

Day 2831 (29/09/2017)

A busy day at home but back on the smoothies, which was quite nice.



Then off for a much needed haircut.


That's better.
 

It might not look much different but when it touches my ears it has to be cut.

In the afternoon I had a few games of badminton against Thomas and I lost 3 - 0 again.


Then lots of work to do.




Day 2830 (28/09/2017)

Originally the plan was to get up late and have a relaxing breakfast and then go quite early but my business partner decided stay for breakfast and do a bit more work, so I wasn't able to leave until just before lunch.

I wasn't feeling great as I hadn't slept well over the last two nights, so I fell asleep straight away on the train.

I was home for a couple of hours and then off to my pensioners meeting, where there was some nice food.

Then home by about 10:30pm to relax.



Day 2829 (27/09/2017)

Day two of our meetings and it started with a nice hearty but maybe not healthy breakfast.


After the morning mist had lifted I could see The Shard from my room.


Then more sandwiches for lunch.


Then off to a nearby French restaurant for a nice diner after our meeting finished, where I had baked Camembert for starters and Beef Bourguignon from mains.



Then an apple & sultana pastry for afters.








Day 2828 (26/09/2017)

It was a fairly early start and then on the train to London but luckily I had treated myself to first class.


Then to the Union Jack Club for a few days of meting.


This is basically a hotel for serving & retired servicemen & women and is quite a bit nicer than the civil service club.


As it is a bit of a terrorist target, even though it has good security, with retired Gurkha's manning the doors, it has worrying posters on each floor.


We had a meeting all day in the bar and stopped for a short while for some nice sandwiches.


As it was quite late by the time we finished chatting & drinking we stayed in for dinner. I had a nice baked goats cheese & beetroot starter and a steak & kidney pie for mains. All quite nice.








Day 2827 (25/09/2017)

Monday and back on the smoothies.

 

This was the first one without the spinach and it wasn't improved much.


And back at the gym.


Busy time in the office in the evening, trying to get everything done before going to London for a few days.

Day 2825 & 2826 (23 & 24/09/2017)

My wife went to Bristol early to help clear her mothers old house, so I had to have breakfast alone.


Then most of the days was spent on my legal cases which might have turned a corner yesterday.

In the evening I did a sort of Mexican, with nachos and shredded chicken for wraps but without any added chillies, so Thomas could eat it.


He enjoyed it, so that was good.

Sunday I managed to do some work and made a nice dinner.

 

Obviously I put the gravy on afterwards.





Day 2824 (22/09/2017)

It was a long and slightly stressful day spent with some IOD pensioner friends going thru some paperwork to counter the police defence in our whistle-blowing employment tribunal case.

It is looking good as their defence is full of holes.

It was Friday so fish for diner with whitebait for starters.





Day 2823 (21/09/2017)

Another smoothie this morning.

 

Then badminton in the afternoon but it was a 3-0 whitewash.


Then we popped into my Mum & Dad's for tea and cake on the way home.

Day 2822 (20/09/2017)

Made a very nice smoothie this morning, which was a lot better after I soaked the oats.

 

Then off to the gym.


I managed to do some work but still plenty to do.




Day 2821 (19/09/2017)

It was Tuesday so had a nice breakfast with my wife.

I didn't go to the gym in the afternoon as I wanted to get lots of work done and still finish early to watch telly but I received some annoying news about the police, so had to spend time sending off some emails slagging them off and in the end didn't do any work.

It is nothing to concern me too much but they are utter bastards.

Day 2820 (18/09/2017)

Up early to do some work, with a few emails going off which are going to cause problems for the police but it must be done, the truth is always best. If it hits the press I will put it hear but can't say anything at the moment.

I had a nice smoothie but haven spoken to Lee I realised that I should have been soaking the oats first.



 

Then off to the gym, even though my knee was still playing up.


Then catching up with work.

Day 2818 & 2819 (16 & 17/09/2017)

Work to do but not to much, so hopefully a more relaxing weekend than normal.

We had a nice breakfast.


And in the evening we had a nice Chinese.


Which we had again on Sunday.

As it is getting quite cold we had to put the heating on, not as easy as it sounds as the heating has been off all year, so the boiler would need to be checked and topped-up. As the garage is completely fully of junk this was quite an effort but was worth it as the house was lovely and warm afterwards and helped convince hr that we need to get rid of all the crap in our house.




Day 2817 (15/09/2017)

I woke up and felt awful, my stomach muscles are still hurting from Wednesday and my right knee was really painful, I'm guessing two games of badminton a week might be too much for m joints.

So I had a day off from being healthy & going to the gym but still had loads of work to do.

Day 2816 (14/09/2017)

Today's smoothie is a bit more of an odd mixture, with banana, blueberries, strawberries, kiwi, plums, walnuts, oats, yogurt and some spinach, slightly strange but stops me wanting to eat anything until I've finished at the gym later this afternoon.



Thomas was up late and not feeling great but went out for a game of badminton.


Owing to Thomas being below par it was lot closer today, and I even won a game.

Day 2815 (13/09/2017)

Back on the smoothies this morning but there was only one banana left, so it tasted a bit different but was still OK.



Lots to do in the office still but I went to the gym after lunch.


In the evening I impressed myself by putting new grips on our badminton rackets.



I had a new highest word score in scrabble, I don't think it will ever be beaten :-)
