Day 6143 (28/10/2026)

Up fairly early doing a few things in the office.  

I put the bins out and we also put the old sofa bed out to be collected in the morning, so the garage is looking a lot clearer, and I have ordered the new flooring.  

Tidied the garden and collected load of leaves. 

In the evening I made a nice Mexican, with nacho's and some quesadillas. 

Very tasty, and not too hot this time, as I didn't add any jalapeno's this time. 

Day 6142 (27/10/2026)

Did some work in the office in the morning, then had some nice brunch with my wife.   

It is nice being up to date with all of my work, but slightly annoying that I have 3 presentations to give over the next month, as if I didn't, then I could really relax and maybe even start writing. 

Had some nice pasta in the evening. 

Day 6141 (26/10/2026)

Feeling better, I did not have my weight jab yesterday, and will probably give the gym a miss this week, to recover fully and also as I have a few things on this week.   

Did a few things in the morning, then met Frank E for a catch-up and lunch at The Worlds End. I had the Chicken New Yorker Baguette, which was grilled chicken breast, bacon, BBQ sauce and melted cheese, with some fries & salad. 

Then I went back to do some work, and picked my wife up after work, then got some chips from the fish & chip shop on the way home, to do do with steak slice & peas.

Day 6139 & 6140 (24 & 25/10/2026)

The weekend, and I'm feeling better but not exactly full of energy.  Did some work in the morning, then made some nice sausage sandwiches foe brunch.

Then later in the afternoon we got ready and drove up to Bristol in the evening, in really awful rain & weather, to Andrew & Alison's, for a lovely few drinks and a meal.  

A lovely evening as always. 

Sunday was another grim day weather wise, so after seeing my parents for break, I went home and made a nice rustic roast tomato soup for dinner.

Also bought my wife some flowers.

Then when my wife came home, I heated up the soup and did my signature dish, of massive cheesy croutons. 

Very tasty, and warming. 

Then later on, we had some nice cheese and biscuits. 

Day 6138 (23/10/2026)

Still not fully recovered but getting there.

The weather has turned and its is quite wintery, with lots more rain and wind. id a few things in the office in the morning, then went out to get some supplies, so we had a nice sushi lunch.

Then I made a veery tasty fish pie.

I did it with some carrots. 

It was very tasty, probably the best fish pie I have made. 

Day 6137 (22/10/2026)

Still feeling awful but getting better.

Finally got a report written, which I had been trying to finish for over a week. Sometimes certain jobs are too complex or dull to finish, and everything else gets done before it, so its always a massive result when they are finally done and gone. 

My wife took my mum out in the afternoon, and then I made a quick but tasty tomato pasta dish in the evening.

Day 6136 (21/10/2026)

Still feeling really rough, and my wife is starting to come down with a cold. 

I did some work during the day and made pizza, with a nice salad, for when my wife came home. 

Day 6135 (20/10/2026)

I still felt ill but after breakfast we drove up to Cardiff to visit our cousin in Hospital. She seemed so much stronger and more chatty than Thursday, so fingers crossed for a full recover at some time. 

We stopped for a drink and cake on the way back, but I had no appetite to share a sandwich. 

In the evening we did chips & beans with the leftover chicken / veggie sausages, which was quite nice. 

Day 6134 (19/10/2026)

I started feeling ill again this morning, so I can put it down to the Jabs and not food poisoning, so I may give them a rest for a while.  

In the afternoon I had to tidy the leaves in the garden, as there were so many of them. 

Then in the evening, when my wife got back from work,  I warmed up the leftover curry, which I had trouble finishing, as I felt quite ill.  

Day 6132 & 6133 (17 & 18/10/2026)

Did some work in the the office in the morning, then the men from Liftt came and fitted our new electric garage door.   

They opened the old garage door, which hadn't been done for well over 15 years. 

It only took them about 90minutes and we were very pleased with it. 

Then in the evening wee ordered an Indian. 

On Sunday I saw my parents for breakfast, then came home to do some work. Then in the early evening I made a nice roast chicken dinner.

It was very tasty.
