Rather annoyingly I was woken in the night with water coming in thru the bedroom ceiling on to me in the bed. Thankfully it wasn't much and soon stopped but it was clear we had a slight issue with the roof. Luckily I was able to get someone out first thing, who discovered, as I knew they would, that the lead flashings in the gully between the old roof and the extension was broken, and needed repair on both sides.
I suppose it has lasted 20 odd years without incident but think it might be an expensive long-term fix, which they can't do for a few weeks but they will be back on Monday to do a temporary fix, so we are hoping for a few dry days (looking at the weather forecast there is no chance of it being dry, so it's just fingers crossed).
I had work to do, then we finished off the French onion soup, so didn't need dinner and just had an evening snack of melted cheese on toast with tomato.
