Day 6060 (06/08/2026)

Back at work and back at the gym.  

My wife made a very tasty Mexican in the evening.

Another early session at the gym, and getting my car charged. 

I bought some new doormats for the house, making the place look a bit better, especially against the new patio slabs.  

Then did some work in the office. My wife did sausage, beans and mash in the evening but I complained as she didn't make a face with them :-) 

Day 6058 (04/08/2026)

I went to the gym early.

Then back for a quick brunch, before driving to Exeter to test drive another EV.  

Luckily we had reserved the car the other day, as the garage had already sold all of their other E-5008's, after the price was dropped by £4k.  The test drive was OK, which we sort of knew it would be as we had had an unsuccessful test drive of the same model of car a couple of weeks back but had been treated quite badly by that garage, so walked out. 

This time we bought the car and will pick it up at the weekend.  It was quite expensive but it is what my wife wanted, so as long as she is happy, then I'm happy. 

Then home to have the last of the leftover salad. 

And time to do a bit of work. 

Day 6057 (03/08/2026)

Rather than going to the gym, I spent a few hours tidying the garden and putting the plants back after the patio was finished, giving them a good water as well.  

We aren't growing much this year but have a few small tomato's and chilli's coming on. 

Then when my wife came home, we finished off the salad for dinner. 

Day 6055 & 6056 (01 & 02/08/2026)

August already, where does the time go. 

We had a nice sleep at the hotel and got ready and then made our way to Chepstow for lunch at Panevino, an Italian restaurant, with Gary & Elaine for her Birthday.  

A great setting a Some really tasty food. 

We shared an afters. 

But Gary and Elaine didn't :-)

Then we had a walk around Chepstow. 

Then drove off to Bristol, to have a lovely evening with family, and some very tasty food.  

Lovely food and lovely company, then home to recover.  

Sunday, at home, so did my calendar, then went off to see my parents for breakfast. 

When my wife came home, I did a nice salad for dinner. 

And started doing my Lego whilst working. 

Day 6054 (31/07/2026)

A day off and we were off to Bristol, but the traffic was awful. We stopped off at Cash Converters in Bedminster on the way, to get rid of some golf clubs, which sold but not for much, however that's more room in the house / garage / storage unit. Next it will be guitars and linked things. 

Then we booked into our room and walked across the centre to Six By Nico for the Amalfi Coast menu, for my Birthday, along with the matching wine. 

All very tasty and very lovely evening.

We stopped for a coffee on the way back. 

Then back to the hotel to sleep it all off.
