Day 5043 (23/10/2023)

Up and out for a few days away with my wife. We visited a National Trust property, which was very nice. 

Then we booked into our hotel and went for a very nice dinner.

Day 5041 & 5042 (21 & 22/10/2023)

We were up early to drive to Essex, with a stop over at Reading for a coffee & breakfast bap. 

The drive was OK and it was great to see everyone, which was a real surprise for my parents.

And the new house was lovely, with a fantastic view of the lake & the park. 

Our hotel was quite nice. 

Had a lovely breakfast at the hotel.

Then back to Ricky & Christine's for a walk around the park. 

Then a drive home in the late afternoon.

Day 5040 (20/10/2023)

Busy in the office trying to get all of my work done, so we can go away.

Nice fish & chips in the evening.

Day 5039 (19/10/2023)

A very wet day, with our new cooker & dishwasher being delivered. It was lightly annoying that we need to have a gas pipe removed for the cooker to fit properly and the waste in the sink started leaking, so we need to get someone in for both but can still use them for now.

Had my flu vaccine in the early evening.

Day 5038 (18/10/2023)

I had an online presentation which went quite well. 

We had pizza's in the evening, waiting for Thomas to return his interview.

Day 5037 (17/10/2023)

We all had breakfast together and then Thomas went off to Burton for a look around before his interview tomorrow.

We had an early dinner before me going online for the evening.

Day 5036 (16/10/2023)

Back to work and back to the gym.

We finished off the lobster macaroni cheese in the evening.

 

Day 5034 & 5035 (14 & 15/10/2023)

The weekend and some time to relax and do a few bits & bods, including going to get a new cooker and dishwasher, as both have broken and can't be repaired. 

I made a not very successful banana cake in the afternoon. 

In the evening I made some lobster macaroni cheese but you don't get much lobster from Tesco's lobster tails :-(

But it was very tasty. 

On Sunday I saw my parents for breakfast and then in the evening we had a very nice pie & mash for dinner. 

Very nice with a cool G&T :-)

With pancakes for afters.

Another busy day at work and in the gym. 

Had some lovely fish & chips in the evening.

 

Day 5032 (12/10/2023)

A busy day in the office, as I have started updating the training for net year but managed to get to the gym.

My wife made another tasty dinner, tonight it was a lentil dahl.
