My wife was still full of a cold & cough.
I did some work and made a curry in the evening, using the leftover lamb in ours and lots of vegi's in the one for the kids.
It wasn't perfect but it was OK.
My diary of changing things in my life, my size, fitness, the state of my house and life. Not a big task then.
My wife was still full of a cold & cough.
I did some work and made a curry in the evening, using the leftover lamb in ours and lots of vegi's in the one for the kids.
It wasn't perfect but it was OK.
I got up to do some work, letting my wife have a much earnt lie-in but unfortunately when she did get up she wasn't feeling great.
Thomas had been out shopping after work and when he came home found a box of biscuits had been delivered to us but left out by the side of the house and was soaked thru.
Luckily the biscuits inside were all individually wrapped & perfect but we have no idea who they are from.
Did some work but tried to relax a bit.
In the evening my wife was feeling well enough to go to her Christmas Do and Thomas made a very tasty Asian broth, tofu & noodle diner.
Just about caught up with my sleep. Made me & Lee some nice poached eggs on muffins for breakfast, then had work to do.
In the evening made quick salmon & new potatoes, with veg & hollandaise sauce. As we had a fairly big & late lunch I didn't do many potatoes.
It was nice to have a lie-in, then do a bit of work.
Made a very lovely vodka rigatoni in the evening, used single cream instead of double (as my wife did the shopping) and I think it was better than normal.
We were up really early to get to Plymouth for 7:30am for Lee. We dropped them off and went for a nice breakfast at Plymouth Hoe.
Everything went well and we were all back in Taunton by 1:30pm but unfortunately there was a power-cut, so we were sat in the cold & dark, so at least we could relax.
The power came on after 7 by which time we were about to order dinner, so carried on and ordered a McDonalds.
It was great not to have to be up for 7am for Amazon. I had some work to do and then off to the tip & the storage unit again, then home for some very nice cheese & biscuits.
Then pickled Lee up in the evening and we had a pizza delivered.
Another early morning waiting for Amazon but thankfully they and more importantly, the bed & mattress arrived.
So when my wife & Thomas had gone to work, I spent sometime in the garden clearing more leaves and re-doing the bird food, then put the bed together, which was knackering and heroic.
Then time for a quick bit of work.
When my wife came home, we had a quick lunch before going out posting some cards and taking all of the empty cardboard from the bed to the tip. Then home to have a shower & collapse in a heap after a busy day.
We had a lovely vegi cheesy tuna pasta in the evening.
Well that was a stormy night and it is still stormy.
I was up early, waiting for Amazon from 7am, unfortunately no one had told us that due to the stormy Amazon wasn't sending out delivery drivers until at least the afternoon. So another annoying early morning.
The only plus side was that I managed to finish updating the training material for the University, the questions & tasks to go now.
As Thomas was out we had a bit of a meaty Italian in the evening, starting with a nice antipasti.
I was up early for the Amazon delivery, which was due between 7am and 7pm and at about 7:20am the van pulled up outside but after 10minutes of hunting around his van he came to the door to say that someone had forgotten to load the bed, which was annoying.
In fact it was double annoying, as we need the bed and I had got up early for nothing.
We had some nice fish & chips in the evening.
Also the start of a stormy few days.
Busy in the office and in the afternoon I cut up Thomas's old bed and we took it to the tip as the new double bed is arriving tomorrow.
Another busy day in the office, doing some work as well as updating the training material.
Had a tasty pie in the evening.
We had a nice brunch.
Then took some stuff over to the storage unit, and had a Starbucks on the way back.
My wife went out on a Christmas do in the evening, so I pizzas and watch West Ham (Lose) on the telly with Thomas.
Back to work.
We finished of the 3bird roast & leftovers with a nice sandwich for lunch, so didn't really feel like dinner tonight.
