Day 4919 (21/06/2023)

We had a relaxing morning then went off to see the sites in the sun & the heat.

We had a nice meal in the evening.

Day 4918 (20/06/2023)

Lee was unwell, so we didn’t do much, mostly staying in the area, whilst Thomas explored Rome. We stopped off at a couple of places to grabs some drinks & food.

We ended up in a park, which turned out to be a nunnery, which is a funny longer story.

Then I stopped for a drink whilst my wife went shopping.

Then three of us went out and had a nice dinner out in the evening.

We were up early to get ready and finish packing before leaving for the airport only 20 minutes after I said we had to leave, which is good for us. The drive to the airport was good and then we flew through security at the airport for the first time ever, so we had time to relax with a breakfast roll and coffee before getting on the flight.

Obviously Thomas had a pint to start the holiday properly.

Arriving in Italy we again flew through security & immigration which was most unexpected, then had a good train journey into Rome and an expensive & scary taxi journey from the train station to the apartment, which was actually quite nice.

Lee joined us after a couple of hours, so we went to a nearby restaurant for some lovely food then off to bed.

Day 4915 & 4916 (17 & 18/06/2023)

It's the weekend, with things to do so we can go away. In the evening we had a bit of a Greek delivered, very tasty.

On Sunday it was Fathers Day and we all met up to go out for a carvery at the Rumwell Farm Shop. I took some photos of my food but forgot to take a picture of the family.

Day 4914 (16/06/2023)

A relaxing morning, which was technically the first day of our holiday. We went into town to buy some things and stopped for a Mr Miles Afternoon Tea with cheese scones & cream scones.
