Day 4063 & 4064 (13 & 14/02/2021)

It's the weekend and although I have things that need doing, I am trying to spend some time with my wife.

We thought we would treat ourselves to a take away but every we tried to order from online was unavailable, which was probably just because they were busy. So in the end we had a nice Greek thing, which took 2 hours to arrive, was tasty but could have been warmer with a bit less onion & garlic.

Sunday was a relaxing day with my wife. We started Valentines Day with a nice breakfast together.

Then ordered a nice Italian for dinner.

Day 4062 (12/02/2021)

I felt a bit rough after the jab but it was no different to feeling rough because of old age, I'm just glad to start being protected but desperately want everyone else vaccinated as well so we can start getting back to normal.

Day 4061 (11/02/2021)

A busy day in the office but I made a quick but very tasty lunch, with some left over fresh pasta from the weekend, with some chorizo, mushrooms & tomatoes and then finished off with some goats cheese & olives, very tasty.

Then in the evening it was jab time.

All very well organised by the NHS, not the government, who have fucked up with everything they have done and everything they have failed to do, when dealing with the pandemic.

Day 4060 (10/02/2021)

Well it appears we had a very little bit of snow overnight.

Lots of other places are having real trouble with the snow but we have managed to escape most of it.

I got a call from my Doctors surgery in the evening, it appears that I am technical old & vulnerable, so having my first jab tomorrow.

Another cold day under lockdown and very busy in the office.

And another week under lockdown starts.

The weekend is her with things to do but made some family time. We popped into Bridgwater and put a very dirty car through a car wash. Who would have thought a year ago that going through a car wash would have been the most memorable act of your week. How things have changed.

Inspired by a viral video online, I made a fresh pasta dish with baked feta & tomatoes, with added salmon & prawns.

Very tasty, plus we had a posh bottle on wine with it.

On Sunday I made a very nice roast beef, with another posh bottle of wine, which was part of our Christmas present from Thomas.

Another similar day in lockdown, with a nice fishy dinner in the evening.

Day 4052 (02/02/2021)

Had a nice and healthy-ish breakfast at the start of the day.

Watched It's A Sin on 4OD. A really great if heart breakingly sad series set in the 80's and the start of HIV / Aids effecting people. As I watched it I thought they had the fashion & music dead right, then noticed the jumper worn by the lead character.

The photo of me was from October 1985, which does not seem like 35 years ago but does seem a lifetime ago.

Day 4049 & 4050 (30 & 31/01/2021)

It's the weekend but these days are very samey nowadays. It was my Mum's Birthday, so we dropped some presents over to her and tried to make things a little normal, without staying etc, so it wasn't very normal.

I didn't take any photos, so I thought I would include one from my parents surprise silver weeding anniversary party from 1988, as I don't think any of us have change that much :-)

Then we drove out to lay flowers on Mary's grave as it would have been her birthday tomorrow and I think for a number of reasons it was essential to do this.

Then back home and I made a very nice vegi Mexican chilli con carne.
