Day 3457 (17/06/2019)

It was a very early start for our 6am flight. Even getting to the airport parking 2hrs beforehand we only just made the flight thanks to delays at check-in and at security.

 

Bulgaria was very hot when we arrived, apparently it was 40degrees, so it was a hot drive to the hotel.

The hotel was lovely when we arrived and everything that the many positive reviews had said. 

   

 

We had a lovely air-conditioned room, with a balcony over looking the pool.

After we checked in we had a cooling drink and a lovely salad.

 

Then we relaxed by the pool before getting ready having a wonder around and then going for dinner at the hotel, which was very nice. Very impressed with the local Bulgarian Rose :-)

 

 

   

I had lamb and my wife had pork

Then an odd extra course,instead of the lattes we ordered. 

And some nice ice-cream.

A very good fist day.

Day 3454 & 3456 (15 & 16/06/2019)

Another early Saturday off to Exeter for more Missing People exercises with some Police Cadets, which went quite well.

Then home for dinner.

It was Fathers Day on Sunday, so we had my Mum & Dad round for a nice roast pork dinner.

 

 

The dinner was lovely but I forgot to take any pictures of the actual dinner :-(

 

 

Then it was time to get ready for a well deserved holiday.

Day 3453 (14/06/2019)

I was aiming to finish the training videos today for work before going on holiday but my business partner really pissed me off, so I told him he was being a prick and that I will be retiring in December and will be winding down my involvement with the company.

That didn't go down well but oh well :-)

Anyway I had to pop out with Thomas and had a stop at a burger van when we were at B&Q :-)

The poppies in the garden are massive.

Back in the office for more stress.

After really wintry wet weather it was a grey but dry morning went off to the World Cup Cricket for Australia v Pakistan.

 

 

 
It was a really good day out and an exciting match, which Australia won but the Pakistani fan made it loud & fun.

Then home for fish & chips as the electricity had been off and had only just come back on at home.

Day 3450 (11/06/2019)

Another busy day in the office not doing everything I wanted.

More good news with Thomas getting another 'Distinction', so we celebrated with a 2 for Tuesday :-)

Day 3449 (10/06/2019)

Busy but not getting anywhere, really looking forward to be on holiday next week but have so much to do first.

Day 3447 & 3448 (08 & 09/06/2019)

It was another early (ish) start as I was doing somethings with the Devon & Cornwall Police Cadets at the HQ with my new business.

It went OK and gives us something to build on for the future.

In the evening I did a nice Moussaka, hassleback potatoes & Greek salad.

On Sunday I tided the garden.

Then made a very nice roast beef dinner.

Day 3446 (07/06/2019)

I was still tired from yesterdays early start and it was a busy day in the office.

In the evening me and my wife went to the Sheppy's restaurant, which was quite nice.

 

 

 

 

And we even shared the cheese board :-)

Day 3445 (06/06/2019)

It was an early start and a long drive to speak at a conference in Portsmouth.

Thankfully there were a few danish pastries out when I arrived :-)

 

 
My talk was fairly short but it went down very well, as always. 

 Then the long drive home was made even longer by road closures and diversions :-(

Day 3444 (05/06/2019)

Another busy day in the office but time for a much needed haircut.

Listened to some good podcasts whilst working today, one with Matt Lucas. I Tweeted my praise about them as they were very good and he liked my Tweet.

So another interaction with a famous person on Twitter to add to the list.

Another very tasty dinner from my wife (who saw it on telly)

It was a Chinese style pork that was cooked on a program by Raymond Blanc and I'm sure hers was as tasty as his.

A busy day in the office and it was raining on and off outside.

Day 3442 (03/06/2019)

A busy day on ebay and in the office, feeling slightly positive for the future with work but the next two months will be critical.

The flowers / roses looking good in the garden, including for some reason some large poppies, which are looking good but a bit suspicious.

 

 

Day 3440 & 3441 (01 & 02/06/2019)

Golly June already, so it's Kylie time.

I do hope next years calendar is a bit more fun :-)

Loads to do in the office this weekend but if it stays nice I might get out into the garden for a few minutes.

Had a very nice breakfast in the morning.

As it was such a nice day we made a late decision to have a BBQ :-)

Quite well done but very tasty :-)

On Sunday we had the left overs with some cheesy pasta.
