A busy day in the office and then in the evening I went out for a meal with my wife to Augustus, which was really nice. We had eaten here a few years ago, and the food was really nice.
The starter was seared Brixham scallops with puréed, marinated and fried celeriac.
Then I had braised shoulder of lamb, Marquise potato, seasonal greens & rosemary sauce, whilst my wife had fillet of sea bass with galette potato, roasted baby beetroots, fennel, squash and a basil beurre blanc.
Then for afters we had a baked vanilla custard with glazed pear and a lemon curd tart with crisp meringue and whipped cream.
All really tasty and finished off with a latte and a macaroon.
