Day 2751 (11/07/2017)

Up early and on the train, which was packed. As it was just for a meeting I couldn't really justify first class, so it was a horrible journey :-(

Sad seeing the tributes at the statue of Paddington The Bear, after the recent death of Michael Bond.

What must foreigners think, a shrine to a bear from Peru, at a time when we are threatening to deport European citizens who have made their lives here for decades and who make our country liveable.

The venue was in London, near to you know who.

The hotel was the same chain as we have when we meet in Birmingham. I have membership of the chain and so they gave me some cookies as a welcome gift :-)

 

 

We didn't have lunch and after meeting a friend for a few drinks, we went for a meal at a nearby Portuguese restaurant, which was very nice.

 

 

 

We may have over indulged :-)
