Day 6012 (19/06/2026)

Day five of our holiday, and our last day, so we were up very early, not just to start packing but because Mrs Smith wanted to see the sunrise, so we did.

Then we did some packing, had a nice breakfast, including sugar puffs (again) and a really nice omelette.

Then we went back to the room and finished packing and checked out of our room, and then just chilled at the hotel for a few hours (she beat me at Scrabble again).

Then we had our lift to the airport, where we had some tasty rolls.

The flight was ok, but unfortunately (AGAIN) we had a few issues with the official Bristol Airport car park, as someone had forced the mirrors back (which got sorted) and scratched the car, admittedly it’s better than the other year, when they lost our car, so we have made a complaint & claim.

A somewhat frustrating. & annoying end to a lovely holiday.

Day 6011 (18/06/2026)

Day four (last night) of our holiday, and it is flying past, and I wish we were staying for weeks or even just days longer. We had another lovely breakfast, sugar puffs and a bacon & sausage sandwich again.

Then another lazy day laying in the sun and in the pool.

Then we went out for a lovely paella at Mercader del Mar, and a few drinks and a nice afters, including a make your own tiramisu.

Then back to the hotel and a game of scrabble, where I scored 93 with heckled on a triple word and used all 7 letters.

Day 6010 (17/06/2026)

Day three of the holiday, and another nice breakfast, I've not had sugar puffs for years, and they were lovely.

My wife went for quite a sweet breakfast, whereas I had a bacon & sausage sandwich.

Then we had a walk around, before having another lazy day in the sun and in the pool.

Then another nice dinner and then a nice long walk along the bay.

We had reported an issue with the sink, and hoped it would have been fixed but it wasn't so we made a point of complaining quite strongly before dinner, asking for a different room, and thankfully it was fixed within the hour and they gave us a free glass of fizz.

Then back to our room to have a game of scrabble while watching England in the World Cup.
