Day 5974 (12/05/2026)

Day Two in Amsterdam, had a nice brunch.

Then we went on a sightseeing bus around the city, a tour of a diamond polishing place.

Then we went and had a cheese and wine tasting session, at the Old Amsterdam Cheese Store, which was very nice.

Then we had a walk thru town, and a Stroop waffle, and a coffee, then back to the hotel to relax, after a few less steps than yesterday.

Day 5973 (11/05/2026)

It was a very early morning, to get to the Eurostar, where we got a breakfast / brunch, which we shared.

The Eurostar was good and we had a little sleep, then arrived refreshed in Amsterdam, where it was quite chilly and a bit damp. We went to the hotel, which was comfortable but a bit tired and basic, was OK. 

Then after a pancake, we explored around the city, doing quite a few steps. 

We saw the house where Anne Frank hid from the Nazi's. 

Then went on a canal trip, which was OK but could have been better if the details didn't have to be dragged out of the captain. 

Then we had a bite to eat, before walking back to the hotel, seeing a few more things. 

Back to the hotel, for a cup of tea and a biscuit, totally exhausted.
