Day 5524 & 5525 (15 & 16/02/2025)

After a comfortable nights sleep, we woke up to a cold room but got ready and had a nice breakfast.

Then we laid some flowers on Kim's grave before going home.

As Thomas was going out, we ordered a very tasty Japanese in the evening.

On Sunday I saw my parents for breakfast, then went home to get ready for Preston. My wife finished work a bit early, and we had a nice dinner and a lovely bottle on non-alcoholic Kylie.

Then a 4hr drive up to Preston, arriving in time to catch the end of The Great Pottery Throw Down and the The Unforgotten.

 

Day 5523 (14/02/2025)

Valentines Day and it was nice to be together for a change. My wife made a lovely brunch. 

Then we had a lazy couple of hours, before going to Bridgwater, where I had booked us a nice room at The Mercure and a table at Marco Pierre Whites. 

Unfortunately there was more than a few issues, including the room being freezing and taking 3 hours to warm up. Then when went down to the Bar & Restaurant there were a few more issues, so it wasn't great but we made the most of it. 

  

Day 5522 (13/02/2025)

Finished off a few things in the  office, looking forward to a day off before going back to Preston for another course on Sunday.

My wife made a tasty squash thing for dinner.

Day 5521 (12/02/2025)

Just about up to date with my work and finished more leftovers for lunch.

And again in the evening.

 We had a very tasty brunch.

Then did some work and finished off some left overs in the evening. 

Day 5519 (10/02/2025)

A busy day in the office and I was online for the Uni course in the evening, then had a very tasty vegi steak salad pot.

Day 5517 & 5518 (08 & 09/02/2025)

A nice relaxing start to the weekend but it is still horrible weather, which is a shame. My wife made a lovely brunch.

I managed to catch-up on all of my work :-)  

In the evening, we had some vegi chicken satay and samosas & bhaji’s for starters, and I made a very tasty satay sauce.

Then for dinner I made a tasty rustic tomato soup (lots of roasted vine tomatoes, red pepper, red onion, red chilli and a garlic bulb), with a giant sourdough cheesy crouton, basil & creme fraiche, it was very nice.

All very lovely.

Sunday it was a frosty start and then I saw my parents for breakfast, before heading back to do some work and then make dinner, with a tasty roast pork, with some lovely crackling, with potatoes, leaks, onions, carrots & spinach in a vegan cream, with fennel & Parmesan sauce, it was really nice.

Another busy day in the office, with some nice fish & chips in the evening.

After a couple of nice days, it was a bright but frosty start to the day. 

Busy in the office during the day, and in the evening my wife made a nice risotto.

A busy day in the office, with quite a bit of work to do at the moment.

Day 5513 (04/02/2025)

No time for a nice lie-in, as I had to take my car to the garage for a service and MOT, then for a nice brunch, before having an online meeting. 

Then work to do and collect my car, which cost small fortune, then home f or some nice pasta in the evening.
