Day 4552 & 4553 (18 & 19/06/2022)

I may have drunk a bit too much yesterday, which I needed after a busy & stressful few weeks, so I had a lie-in and a slow start, then it started raining.

Our new plants got delivered and the rain stopped for long enough for me to plant them.

The front garden has really changed quite a lot over the last year, its looking quite good now.

Then in the afternoon we had a Rick stein Afternoons Tea.

Sunday was Fathers Day, so after opening cards we went to see my Mum & Dad for breakfast. Then off to Dunster for the afternoon.

And a walk along Minehead seafront but it started raining, so we came home early and had a KFC.

Day 4551 (17/06/2022)

I was supposed to be on Holiday but still have work to do. Then in the afternoon we went off to the garden centre in the baking heat, then did some gardening when we got home.

Then in the evening I made a Rick Stein meal, from one of their meal box's, which whilst not being cheap was really lovely and easy to do.

Starters were grilled scallops with a hazelnut & coriander butter, with some sourdough bread.

Mains were lobster Thermidor in a light cream & dry vermouth sauce flavoured with Parmesan cheese & mustard, with new potatoes & dressed salad.

Then afters was a chocolate pave, with chocolate sauce, crystallised hazelnuts, with Cornish clotted cream, oh my god it was unbelievable :-)

OK It wasn't cheap, especially with the bottle of Champagne but it was lovely and special.

Day 4550 (16/06/2022)

Another busy day in the office.

Day 4549 (15/06/2022)

Day two of the online training, went very well, so relieved as was feeling a bit of pressure over this one.

Now to finish all the work that needs doing so I can have some time off with my wife next week.

Day 4548 (14/06/2022)

A very busy day with the first part of an online training session for a client, then back online in the evening for more research.

Day 4547 (13/06/2022)

The start of another busy. My wife made a nice meal in the evening.

Day 4545 & 4546 (11 & 12/06/2022)

The weekend and I can relax a little and try to catch-up with work. We had a nice brunch then spent time in the garden.

In the evening I did a Greek meal, with some calamari, moussaka and a Greek salad, all very tasty

On Sunday I did a lovely slow cooked lamb for dinner, with some really tasty colcannon, with a buttery / creamy mash, kale, spring onions & lardons.
