Day 3754 (10/04/2020)

Good Friday, the sun is out and my wife is off for a nice long bank holiday but its just another day in lock-down.

We had nice Easter bunny crumpets for breakfast.

Then I did some stuff in the office and then started tidying the garden. I know I should have done it a few weeks ago, when the chance of first had disappeared but I have been busy.

Had some nice fish & chips in the evening.

Day 3753 (09/04/2020)

Another day in the office and in lockdown but when I go my mum & dad's supplies I bought some nice cakes.

Day 3752 (08/04/2020)

Another day in the office and in lockdown.

Wednesday, 8 April 2020

Day 3751 (07/04/2020)

Another day in lock-down, still with loads to do.

In the evening I made a pizza :-)

Day 3750 (06/04/2020)

Back to work but no real change for me, with still lots to do but still on lock-down.

Sunday, 5 April 2020

Day 3748 & 3749 (04 & 05/04/2020)

Its the weekend and I still have loads of work to do but at least we had a nice breakfast. to start the day.

Then after lunchtime I went to the local Tesco's, which had introduced more restrictions, making shopping stressful but isolating.

Then in the evening I did a very nice vegetarian American Diner meal.

Followed by homemade brownies, with raspberries and creme fraiche.

All very tasty.

On Sunday I had lots of work to do and made a nice lamb dinner for us and a veggi dinner for Thomas.

Day 3747 (03/04/2020)

Another day, much the same as many of the other days over the last two weeks.

Thursday, 2 April 2020

Day 3746 (02/04/2020)

Another identical day of work in the office and trying to abide by the lockdown.

In the afternoon I got a call from an embarrassed member of staff at Barclays, saying they had found me cheque, which had never been posted back to me after all but had been put in a things to do folder of someone who then went of two weeks leave.

Thankfully I hadn't been able to speak to the HMRC as everyone is calling them trying to get government befits because just about every business has closed down.

So now the cheque is in my account and I will take their compensation (I settled cheaply as couldn't be bothered to waste time on it) and make sure that it goes to the local food bank.

Day 3745 (01/04/2020)

It's April already, so time for a new picture of Kylie on the calendar.

Another similar day of office work and lockdown.

Day 3744 (31/03/2020)

The day started with a lovely breakfast.

Obviously we are roughing it during these days of lockdown, with our soda bread and mashed avocado and poached eggs.

So it was another similar day but I had to pop into town to challenge the bank why a cheque I had paid in on the 19th had still not appeared in my account and my previous complaint had gone un-replied to.

Their excuse was that when the cheque was being dealt with, they thought the cheque, which made out to me, was being paid into the wrong account, so they had decided to return it to me in the post but I obviously hadn't received it.

It appears that they failed to notice that the account it was being paid into is a joint account with my wife and for some reason my name was not visible on the system, just my wife's name. It is total reverse sexiest behaviour, where my wife's details have been put first, probably because they have done it alphabetically and I am so insignificant my name has fallen off of the system.

This wasn't my fault at all, it was totally their fault but their advice to get it sorted was for me to call the HMRC who issued the cheque, to cancel the old missing cheque and issue a fresh cheque.

Obviously during these days this would involve me spending hours on the phone to HMRC, so I told them what my daily rate was, which I would be charging them, which they weren't keen on paying.

Day 3743 (30/03/2020)

The days are very much the same, busy in the office but just popping out for things that my Mum & Dad need.

Saturday, 28 March 2020

Day 3741 & 3742 (28 & 29/03/2020)

It's the weekend and I may have to spend time queuing for the supermarket but I'm planning on doing a curry tonight & a roast tomorrow.

Also have work to do in the office and must start to tidy the garden but the dat started with with a nice Happy Face Breakfast.

I went to Tesco's in the afternoon and had to queue but it was OK and as the mad rush of the morning was long past I didn't have to wait long.

In the evening I made a nice curry.

After dinner we had a nice hour long online video catch-up with G&E which was nice.

On Sunday I was going to spend time in the garden but it was so very cold and windy so I caught up with some work.

Did a roast chicken dinner in the afternoon, very nice.

Day 3740 (27/03/2020)

A busy and stressful which just confirmed that my business partner, although he thinks he is my boss, is a deluded madman.

It comes to something when I'm the most reasonable one in a conversation.

I can't wait until I have nothing else to do with him.

Apart from that lockdown continues, with nice (home cooked) fish & chips in the evening.

Thursday, 26 March 2020

Day 3739 (26/03/2020)

Just another normal day in lockdown for us four but Lee is going back tonight, so it will be just the three of us from now on.

Have an important day at work tomorrow.

Day 3738 (25/03/2020)

The new normal is basically quite odd, now just staying in but it is so quiet outside. We are lucky to be relatively unaffected so far and I hope it stays that way but I do wonder how long things will stay like this.

Day 3737 (24/03/2020)

Well the lockdown is getting going but I popped out to get my parents somethings and to pick up Lee's new car but the rest of the time I stayed in.

Monday, 23 March 2020

Day 3736 (23/03/2020)

Back to work but lots of other things happening, like getting Lee's car fixed.

The AA man was really good but it is clear hat a new car is needed, so we went shopping for a replacement and Lee got themselves a nice new-ish vehicle.

Day 3734 & 3735 (21 & 22/03/2020)

It's the weekend and still time for work. I went to Tesco's after lunch, there were some empty shelves  but plenty of stuff if we all shop sensibly & for the day or a few days. Today doing a Mexican and managed to get everything I needed.

I went to Bristol with my wife in the afternoon, to lay flowers on Mary's grave for Mothers Day, then came home and made the Mexican for all four of us, as both kids are home but not getting too close to us.

On Sunday I saw my parents for the last time for a while as were are now upping our isolation and really limiting any needless contact with others. It was nice to see my Mum on Mothers Day, albeit briefly but I think it may have been worth visiting for a little while today as I think peoples mental health needs taking care of, not just making sure they don't catch the virus.

I got my wife some flowers for Mothers Day

And id a nice roast dinner.

Day 3733 (20/03/2020)

It was an interesting nights sleep wearing the sleeping monitor, making sure the device didn't fall-off of my finger.

I took it back to the hospital who will let me know if I was in danger overnight, with low oxygen reading etc. It should normally take a few weeks but I'm guessing it might take till the end of the year to get back to me as the NHS is likely to be getting busier from now on.

To be fair, if I lost lots of weight then I wouldn't snore so badly, so given the current and getting more scary by the day coronavrus restrictions, I might end the year a lot healthier than I am now. Obviously I also might not survive the coronavirus, it is getting more real by the day.

Day 3732 (19/03/2020)

In the morning I went to the local hospital, not because of the coronavirus but to pick up a machine to monitor my health whilst I sleep, as apparently I snore (I do really badly).

Then due to all of the coronavirus restrictions I went to Bournemouth to pick Thomas and all of his stuff up, so it was a drive there and back with a short rest whilst he loaded up the car.
