Day 2361 (15/06/2016)

After a nice sleep we just about made it in time for breakfast. They had a fair selection, which was nice.

Then we had a sit in the sun deck overlooking the area, which was nice.

Then after getting ready we went to the pool but after about 30 minutes it started raining, so we had to go back to our room for a few hours extra sleep.

It brightened up enough in the late afternoon for us to go back out and relax by the pool.

Then we got ready for dinner. We wandered towards the sea front and found a nice little bad / restaurant, where they spoke no English and the menu was in Italian, so we guessed at what we were ordering, and it was OK.

Then we had a walk around and do me a Main Street with lots of restaurants and shops.

Day 2360 (14/06/2016)

There was still things to do in the office before I could pack for the holiday and even with a flight at 6pm it was a bit of a rush to get to the airport on time.

Will we ever change? Will we ever be organised? I thing the obvious answer is No.

After getting to the airport we had a long wait in the queue to check in my wife's over heavy bag (22kg on a 20kg limit, I couldn't be bothered to repackage so just paid the £20 charge).

She might say it was our bag but I have a rain coat, pair of trousers a my toiletry bag in there. The rest of my stuff was in my small shoulder bag I took on the flight.

OK, so we shared the towels and suntan lotion but it was defiantly mostly her stuff. But I love her lots and think she always looks lovely so don't really mind paying to take all of those clothes with us.

Then through security, my least favourite bit of the airport experience, and I once again set of the alarms and had to be swabbed for explosives.

I'm beginning to think someone has planted something one me or my wife  has started using some gunpowder based washing powder.

Then because of the French air traffic  controllers strike our planes was delayed, which meant we at least had time for a drink and a snack before the flight.

Then on to the plane where someone had sat in our seats as presumable they were unable to use the alphabet.

I think if your are an adult and you can't find the right seat on a plane, where they are in numbered rows and alphabetically ordered from A to F, then you shouldn't be allowed to travel without a carer, this pair were stupid beyond belief, in the end having to be told and pointed to their seats.

The flight was just less than 2hrs, which seems quite short for me, so I slept for most of it.

Then we were in Italy.

The airport, with passport control and baggage reclaim being quick and easy (for a change).

It was late, so very dark but nice and warm. Luckily we had arranged a taxi to the hotel, so there was no waiting around, just a nice easy 30 minute drive.

The hotel is nice, if basic in parts, so no kettle or mini bar in the room. Plus as it was so late the restaurant was closed and the only option was a toasted ham & cheese sandwich.

Day 2359 (13/06/2016)

A busy day making sure everything in my office is done before I can go away on my holiday.

Sunday, 12 June 2016

Day 2357 & 2358 (11 & 12/06/2016)

A fairly relaxing weekend, although I spent many hours clearing my desk of work before going away.

News that Kylie has got married, well I suppose I couldn't expect her to wait for mew for too much longer.

Oh what could have been.

Had a nice curry on Saturday night.

Then the usual disappointment of England in the Football.

On Sunday I did a nice roast chicken.

Day 2356 (10/06/2016)

I'm amazed at the people who follow me on Twitter (without me following them back).

In the afternoon I had a good meeting with the bank, so hopefully this will move our company forward. We don't need finance just an actual bank account but they just don't make it easy if you are not all based in the UK.

You would think for the benefit of employing people and paying tax that the government would make it easier. I know a lot has to do with the banks but the government set the rules and own large part of the banks, so I blame the government.

They are really only interested in large companies, who can donate to them, or give them a paid directorship when they get kicked out. They are really not bothered with anyone else.

Day 2355 (09/06/2016)

A busy day doing work stuff but not appearing to get much done.

Counting down to our holiday.

Wednesday, 8 June 2016

Day 2354 (08/06/2016)

I'm busy, not with reports but with other work stuff at the moment.

Nice to finally get around to having my haircut, as it was awfully long.

Looking forward to getting away with my wife for our holiday next week.

Day 2353 (07/06/2016)

A busy day but in the evening we went out to Sumo with Gary & Elaine for dinner.

Then back to our house for ta & coffee and fun chat. It's always a pleasure to spend time with these two, just wish we did it more often.

Monday, 6 June 2016

Day 2352 (06/06/2016)

Busy (ish) day in the office, looking forward to our holiday next week.

Saturday, 4 June 2016

Day 2350 & 2351 (04 & 05/06/2016)

A busy weekend with quite a few reports to go over.

Had a nice breakfast in the morning, with a smiley face.

A very sad loss that Muhammad Ali has died, truly the greatest every, in so many ways.

A busy Sunday doing work but we had a nice starter.

Then a nice shepherds-pie that my wife made the other day.

Friday, 3 June 2016

Day 2349 (03/06/2016)

A busy day in the office.

I have just voted in the Euro In or Out election, as I have postal ballots as I am away so often.

I wont say how I voted as that too complicated but I am very European, agreeing with free movement of people, proper Justice & Human Rights.

I would happily give up my British Passport and the £ but agree that the European Parliament needs massive changes (like being mostly dismantled as its a corrupt waste of money & power).

Day 2348 (02/06/2016)

I woke a bit late and had to rush to a meeting in Bristol, which as always was interesting.

Then home to do a bit of work before going out in the evening to my pensioners support group.

Wednesday, 1 June 2016

Day 2347 (01/06/2016)

The 1st of June already, so a time for a new Kylie photo.

In the evening I went over to Cardiff, passing an off-duty Google Streetview car by the Severn Bridge.

From a distance I was wondering what was on the roof, thinking it was either a display for a sex shop or a touring tuba player.

Then off to Glee to watch Sara Pascoe, who was very funny.

Tuesday, 31 May 2016

Day 2346 (31/05/2016)

A busy day, recycling, storage unit, getting my wife's car sorted, picking up my glasses, paying in cheques, trying to arrange a meeting with a business bank manager and all of that before breakfast.

Then managed to get rid of the last of my really old work, so now its just the current stuff that needs to be done.

Day 2345 (30/05/2016)

Bank Holiday Monday and the weather was nice and I took most of the day away from the computer.

We spent a few hours our in the gardening, for the first time since around October, when I got it ready for the winter.

The grass has mostly been taken over by weeds and moss, it might be easier to just get it re-laid.

One of the things I really enjoy about getting the garden ready for the summer is jet washing the marble table.

It always comes up really good and is the most manual work I do all year.

Then the gnomes came out and the garden was nearly ready.

Then out for a meal at The Worlds End.

Saturday, 28 May 2016

Day 2343 & 2344 (28 & 29/05/2016)

Oh for a relaxing weekend but I have so much to catch up with and want to spend time with my wife. Also I still haven't been in the garden since I got it ready for the winter in around October / November.

Had some a nice burger and hot dog for dinner.

Food is just so much better now I'm at home.

Sunday had a nice / interesting breakfast with my Mum & Dad then off to Tesco's to get dinner for my wife. I bought her some nice flowers.

Then we had a nice prawn & avocado for starters.

And a nice pork dinner.

Day 2342 (27/05/2016)

My flight home was at 8:30am and I had a terrible fear of oversleeping and ending up staying in the country but thankfully I managed to wake up with the aid of numerous alarms and early morning calls.

I got to the airport, which was a nightmare, over crowded and quite hot and for some reason I set of the metal detector (without having any metal on me) so had extra security, with swabs and a frisk and they decided to take absolutely everything out of my laptop bag (which then took ages to re-pack).

Once on the plane I was able to sleep.

From Luton the journey home was a nightmare, as I hadn't expected the Bank Holiday traffic, which meant the journey was about 90minutes longer than it should have been.

It was a real relief to be home with my wife. Also it was really nice to be back with in my own bathroom.
