Day 2327 (12/05/2016)

Still loads to do but off to London for a few days to see the kids.

The drive was OK and we got to the hotel before meeting with Thomas in London for a few hours.

Had a nice walk around Liberty's.

Then off to the Savoy for a lovely pre-birthday meal for my wife. Starting with a couple of oysters, then both going for the crab & prawn cannelloni in a lobster bisque.

Day 2326 (11/05/2016)

A day spent relaxing but with a little bit of work (which I could have done without but it has to be done as I am just so busy again).

Day 2325 (10/05/2016)

We were both still knackered from yesterdays sightseeing  so we had a relaxing start, with a nice breakfast in a posh tearoom.

Then we had a sightseeing bus-trip thru the city.

 

 

Then just time for a nice lunch and another bottle of wine.

Before catching our flight home.

Day 2324 (09/05/2016)

Our 29th Wedding Anniversary and my lovely wife has hardly changed.

Then up to the top of the Eiffel Tower to celebrate with a glass of Champagne.

Then we had a boat trip along the seine, seeing quite a few of the sites.

One of the things not covered on the boat trip was the Statue Of Liberty, so we walked to it, which wasn't that far (well actually it was far to far as by the time we walked there and back to the hotel we were totally knackered).

Rather than looking for the best restaurant in Paris we went for the nearest one, which was still nice, with my wife trying the escargot.

Day 2322 & 2323 (07 & 08/05/2016)

Oh to have the sort of job that is just 8hrs a day and that you don't think about when you have finished for the day. But then those jobs come with restrictions, lack of choice and very limited opportunity to make real money.

So it was an early start and a busy day doing work so I could go away  with a clear concious.

We had a nice breakfast before popping out to Bridgwater.

Sunday was fairly relaxed start before driving to the airport for our flight to Paris.

The flight was short and OK, as a slept for most of it.

Then we had to master the French Metro system to get to the hotel (which was surprisingly easy as neither of us speak a wood of French).

The Hotel was quite nice but very trendy so was very dark, all black & white with very small rooms and a tiny bathroom. 

If you ignore the tree we even had a view of the Eiffel Tower.

Then we went out for dinner and found a nice restaurant that had a view of the Eiffel Tower.

Then we walked to the Eiffel Tower, which was all lit up and on the hour sparkles with a fantastic light show.
