Day 5880 & 5881 (07 & 08/02/2026)

The weekend but I can't quite relax as I'm so busy and had some online training to do but we had a nice brunch.

Then after the training I went to do some shopping, and in the evening I made some tasty vegi-lamb koftas, to make a bit of a Greek kebab type dinner.

They were very nice.

Sunday I saw my parents for breakfast, then home to do some more work, then I made a nice mixed seafood pasta for dinner.

Very tasty.

I found a Christmas pudding in the cupboard, so we had that for afters.

Day 5879 (06/02/2026)

Another early morning, as I was doing an online training event and had to be online by 7:320am, and talking for over 4hrs. I hadn't quite realised I had agreed to such a long online session but it seemed to go OK.

Then I had some work to do and weas just about to turn my computer off, when the man arranging the conference and training said he needed to speak to me urgently. Fearing the worse I spoke to him but it wasn't anything I had done, however a speaker at the event the following day had to pull out, so asked if I could do another long session, which I couldn't really, but to help out I agreed to cover half of it, so at least I would have a lie-in.

Had some nice fish & chips in the evening.

Day 5878 (05/02/2026)

I didn't sleep well, as I knew I had to be online by 8:30am to speak at an international conference, and after about 4:30am I couldn't sleep, so got up. Then annoyingly the person before me over-ran, so my 40 minutes was cut a bit but I managed to say most of my stuff.

Then it was a busy day in the office, with quite a bit of work having coming in this week.

In the evening we had sausage and mash, and I was too tired to even make a funny face with it.

Day 5877 (04/02/2026)

Another busy day in the office first thing, than as my wife was off for the day, we had a nice brunch.

Then we went to the cinema to watch Is This Thing On, loosely based on John Bishop's story of how he got into comedy. We had some comfortable reclining seats but managed to stay awake.

We had a coffee after the film, then home, where we finished off the curry, with a few battered prawns and some curry sauce, to make it a bit of a katsu curry.

Day 5876 (03/02/2026)

We had a nice brunch, and then had a few chores to do.

Then we went of to the tip and the storage unit, before having a coffee and sharing a cake.

I bought my wife some daffodils, which have come out nicely.

My wife made an interesting and tasty dahl in the evening.

Day 5875 (02/02/2026)

Lee left in the morning for their course, then I was back to work, as I have quite a bit coming in at the moment.

Then we had an early dinner, finishing off the Mexican and then online for the University stuff.

Day 5873 & 5874 (31/01 & 01/02/2026)

We were up early and all out with Thomas to look at some flats in Portishead, which were very nice nice but slightly out of range at the moment. Then we went off to Bristol, to do a few things and to lay some flowers on Mary's grave on what would have been her Birthday.

Then we went home, I got my wife some flowers.

Then I started making a nice Mexican dinner for when Lee arrived for the weekend.

It was all very tasty, and great to all be together.

Sunday, and it is February already.

We had a quick breakfast, before getting ready to go out.

It was great to all be together and have a lovely Sunday Roast at The Corner House for my Mum's Birthday.

It was all very tasty.

Then back to Birthday Cake.

What a lovely day.

Day 5872 (30/01/2026)

Another very wet day in Taunton, it was a busy morning doing some work, then we picked my parents up to take them out for my Mum's Birthday.

Just for a change I went for a stake, whilst everyone else had something fishy.

Unfortunately the motorway was closed & Bristol had ground to a halt, so Gary & Elaine couldn't come down, as we had a lovely time but we arranged to all go out on Sunday instead.

We shared a small in the evening.
