Day 5605 (07/05/2025)

It is my Dad's Birthday.

During the day I finished some work in the office, then we went out for dinner in the evening.

Then back to Mum & Dad's for Tea and Birthday cake.

Day 5604 (06/05/2025)

It was an early start, as someone was coming round to quote on tidying up the hedge at the front. Their quote was a lot more than I expected but they were able to do it there & then, so it was a bit of a noisy morning.

Thankfully it didn't take them long and is now looking a load better (I know the hedge is in parts quite dead but it will do for now).

Then we had a nice brunch.

In the late afternoon we went out to the garden centre, where we had a nice coffee & cannoli but were, unfortunately, too late for something to eat.

We bough a few bits, then when we got back to the garden, we realised that the squirrel had bitten thru two of our string of solar lights, which was more than annoying.  Did some more work, before having some vegi burgers for dinner.

Day 5603 (05/05/2025)

It was a Bank Holiday but my wife had to work, so I did some gardening and some work in the office.

We finished off the salad for diner and had a relaxing evening.

Day 5601 & 5602 (03 & 04/05/2025)

The weekend, with Lee moving and Thomas having his last day at Sainsbury's.  We had a nice brunch, with scrambled eggs, mushroom & tomato on toasted muffins.

Did a few bits in the garden in the afternoon, then we went off to Bristol to see Russe Kane, with Sam. The seats were awful but it was such a funny hi-energy show.

On Sunday I saw my parents for breakfast, then home to do some work. This weeks flowers for my wife are some lovely roses and carnations.

As the weather had been really hot lately, I decided to do a salad for dinner today, so the weather changed slightly, and it was quite cool, but the salad was nice.

Also had some very tasty afters.

Day 5600 (02/05/2025)

Another lovely sunny day but a bit busy in the office.

Had some nice fish & chips in the evening.

Day 5599 (01/05/2025)

It's May already and the weather has been lovely.

A busy day in the garden, tidying up and re-potting a few plants.  My new hose reel arrived, after the handle broke off the old one.

In the evening I made a tasty prawn risotto.

It was lovely. I've been a bit busy lately and missed cooking.

Day 5598 (30/04/2025)

Another lovely sunny day.  Thomas needed to go to Bristol to arrange a different soon for a weeding, so I drove, and we agreed on a very smart outfit.

It was at a proper tailors, and they had an interesting display.  I never knew that there were so many different types & collars & cuffs.

Then we had a nice lunch in Clifton, sat out in the sun.

Then home and a bit of work.

Day 5597 (29/04/2025)

An early start taking my Dad to the eye hospital, then back for brunch.

We went out to do a bit of shopping in the afternoon and because I love my wife so much I didn't stop her buying a new solar thing for the garden but it is beyond cheap & tacky.

We had some nice pasta in the evening.

When it started to get dark, the cheap tacky solar toadstool started to light up and if it is possibly became even cheaper and tackier, and started to look like an illuminated phallic symbol when it was very dark outside.

In comparison, the new solar flame torches made the plants at the front look like some had set light to them, with their flickering flame affect.

Day 5596 (28/04/2025)

A busy day in the office.

We finished the chicken wraps for a late lunch, so didn't have dinner.
