Day 3215 (19/10/2018)

My wife went to work in the morning then in a the last afternoon we were taking Lee back to Brighton, stopping off on the way for a pizza.

Another busy day but as Lee is due to go home shortly we went out as a family in the evening, going back to Tiffin for an Indian, which we went to on Thomas's birthday.

 

 

 

Very nice but totally stuffed.

Lots happening with work, life would be so much easier with loads of resources & money but we are somewhat limited on both :-(

I was unable to get the dishwasher fixed for a few days, so as we are away for a couple of days it won't be done until Monday, so plenty of washing up for the next few days.

Day 3212 (16/10/2018)

Another busy day. I was due to give blood but the session got cancelled, so no Jacob's Club biscuits today :-(

Slightly annoying that the dishwasher door catch broke, so no dishwasher at the moment.

Normal work day with lots to do.

Day 3209 & 3210 (13 & 14/10/2018)

Still a wet & windy day, so wasn't the best day to rake the leaves up in the garden but I gave it a try.

 

Did a nice fishy Italian with spaghetti in the evening, very tasty.

Sunday we had breakfast with my Mum & Dad, then I did a nice roast in the afternoon, with roast beef for me & my wife, with chicken for Thomas & a vegi option for Lee.

Day 3208 (12/10/2018)

An early start and an awful day, with it pouring with rain and blowing a gale. We wanted to make sure we weren't late for Mary's funeral and for probably the first time ever we were early for something.

It is quite a nice setting at South Bristol Cemetery & Crematorium, with nice views over the city.

Somewhat drained when we got home, so it was a quiet evening.

Another busy day. I suggested going out for dinner in the evening to take my wife's mind off of tomorrow. So we went to Pizza Express and had quite a nice time.

Just busy in the office, with quite a lot to do to refresh all the training, which I had meant to do during the summer but could get myself started, so now everything is a bit of a race against but looking better already.

Another busy day in the office but took time out for a meeting, over a hot chocolate.

I always think never trust anyone whose worked for the security services, as you never know which side they are playing. So it was an interesting meeting but raised as many questions as answers.

Day 3202 & 3203 (06 & 07/10/2018)

It was a quite morning, with it just being the two of us this, with Lee away for a few days but coming back later and Thomas away checking out Universities. So we had a nice (& quiet) breakfast.

Then in the afternoon we picked Lee up and then went to Gary & Elaine's for a lovely Chinese take away.

As always it was a great evening with G&E.

Went to my Mum & Dad's for breakfast on Sunday, then home in time to tidy the garden, raking up the leaves and putting nearly all of the gnomes away for the winter.

Well nearly all of the gnomes :-)

I know it's far too early for Christmas and I had stores that put out early Christmas things but I thought it would be nice for my wife.

Then I did a nice pan friend pork chop for our Sunday roast, very tasty.

Day 3201 (05/10/2018)

Plenty to do in the office and in the evening we had my Mum & Dad round for dinner to celebrate their Wedding Anniversary. Cocking with an onion for the first time in a long time because of Thomas's strict diet, made our eyes sting really badly, quite odd. 

So I did a prawn cocktail, with avocado & mozzarella for starters.

Then a nice spaghetti bolognese, with fresh egg pasta.

All very tasty and quite a nice night, which included the annual food porn of the M&S Christmas Food Catalogue :-)

Just more work in the office and beans on toast in the evening.

Day 3199 (03/10/2018)

A busy day, with Lee going back to Brighton for a few days as they have show on this week, so I drove them up to catch the train from Bristol.

Then back to work in the office.

Day 3198 (02/10/2018)

It was an early start with my wife off to the dentist and me off for an overdue haircut.

Then time for a nice but slightly delayed breakfast.

Gary & Elaine popped round in the evening, so an ideal time for pizza for most of them but me and Gary shared a fish & chips as they really do large (& tasty) portions as our local shop.

It is October already, the year has really flown by but at least it is an excuse to see a new photo of Kylie from the Calendar.
