Day 3180 (14/09/2018)

It was a busy day and in the evening I took my wife out to a new fish restaurant in Taunton, called The Albatross. I got Thomas to drop us off & pick us up, so we could relax with a few drinks, which we certainly did.

We started with a glass of Prosecco whilst we decided what to order.

We then shared some oysters, which were very nice.

Then I had John Dory, whilst my wife had fish cakes.

Then my wife had a crème brûlée and had a strawberry Knickerbocker, which was unbelievable. Then we shared a really great cheese board and a glass of Port.

Then we had a latte.

What a meal.

Day 3179 (13/09/2018)

It was a busy day in the office and then early beans on toast as I had a pensioners meeting in the evening.

Day 3178 (12/09/2018)

I was awake early, so was working shortly after 5am and managed to achieve a lot during the day.

In the afternoon me & Thomas went to the leisure centre to play badminton, it was close but he beat me 3:0.

We are aiming to play every week, which should help me get in shape.

Day 3177 (11/09/2018)

It was an early start as we had to be in Bristol to help arrange my mother-in-laws funeral.

I thought it would all be done in an hour but they took a few hours, at which time I was sat hatting to my sister-in-law, who did us a ll a nice lunch afterwards.

Then back home and time to catch-up with work (again).

Day 3176 (10/09/2018)

We had a nice breakfast / lunch.

Then back to work, with lots to do and some enthusiasm.

Day 3174 & 3175 (08 & 09/09/2018)

The weekend is here, with my wife back up to Bristol to help clear out her mums room, whilst I get new tyres on her car and do some work.

Luckily it only need three new tyres, a wash and a full tank of fuel, so over £400 in total.

In the evening we were joined by Lee and had some nice pizzas delivered.

Sunday we had a nice family breakfast, then went to visit my parents. In the afternoon I did a nice Sunday roast, beef for us, chicken for Thomas and vegi quorn roll for Lee. Honestly it was no trouble to do three different dinners..

Yum Yum Yum :-)

Day 3173 (07/09/2018)

It was nice to get a proper nights sleep, in a bed.

Rather annoyingly my new blue suede desert boots broke, even though I had only wearing them 3 times.

I couldn't send them back as I bought them years ago but couldn't wear them as Prince Harry had started wearing them at the same time.

So I bought some supper glue and it seems to have worked.

I harvested a few more things from the garden.

It is just about the end of the tomatoes but the chillies are never ending.

In the evening I did a bit of a Mexican meal.

With Prawns and then Turkey to put in wraps.

Very nice.

Day 3172 (06/09/2018)

We stayed with Mary thru the night and in the morning she passed away, peacefully with my wife by her side.

Obviously a very sad time for my wife and her family.

After spending hours at the home arranging things we went home to relax. To help I made a nice gnocchi diner for the family.

Day 3171 (05/09/2018)

Up incredibly early to get to London on the train.

I really prefer first class but there was no budget and it was way too expensive; however the train was fairly empty until Reading, so it was not too uncomfortable.

Then in top London and walking past this building to our meeting.

Stopping for lunch in a local pub, where I had a scotch-egg and Jeffery Archer was sat another table.

Late in the afternoon I got a text from my wife who was with her um, to say things were not good, so I jumped on a train to Bristol and with the aide of my brother I went to the nursing home to be with my wife and her mum.

Day 3170 (04/09/2018)

Up early with lots to do as I'm in London tomorrow for a meeting.

Day 3169 (03/09/2018)

Back to work, with plenty to do and still on the beans on toast.

Day 3167 & 3168 (01 & 02/09/2018)

A new month a new Kylie calendar photo.

A weekend when I had plenty of work to do, so was up early and then had a nice breakfast with my wife.

Also had to write a few things about Data Protection, can't believe how many of these things I have done over the last few years.

Cut the grass and tidied the garden in the afternoon.

Then I watered it with the sprinkler for a few hours as it is still fairly dry.

Did a lovely steak meal in the evening, ours with garlic and mushrooms and both with herbs from the garden.

Yum Yum Yum :-)

Sunday I did a nice roast chicken dinner.

Very tasty.

Day 3166 (31/08/2018)

A busy day and a good meeting with Dace in the afternoon. We have quite an exciting project or two coming up.

I got paid out today from my latest legal victory against the police, so that's 5-0 to me and quite a few £'s :-)

In the evening I had my posh "Duchy" beans but added pepperoni & HP to make sure they tasted more like real peoples beans.
