Day 3143 (08/08/2018)

Another nice breakfast at the hotel.

Then off for a walk along the seafront and a coffee at the cafe. 

Then in the evening we had a quick meal the Ye Olde Black Horse.

 

 
I wanted fish & chips but they had sold out, so I had a burger instead.

 

Then we drove home from a nice few day away.

Day 3142 (07/08/2018)

We had a nice breakfast at the hotel and were even joined by Lee which was nice.

Then we spent a glorious few hours on the beach, apart from the occasional rain shower.

Then cooled down with an ice-cream and a pint of shandy.

In the evening we went to the Las Iguanas down at the Marina, which was very nice but the service was very slow, which was slightly annoying.

Day 3141 (06/08/2018)

It was a relaxing morning and then a drive to Rottingdean to see Lee for a few days.

We had a different room at the WhiteHorse but it was still comfortable.

Rottingdean was looking very nice in the sun.

Then we all went for dinner at VIP Pizza in Saltdean.

The caprese was lovely but the bread did look a bit rude :-)

It was a lovely time.

The waffle was lovely, I shall be back on my diet at the end of the week.

A very nice evening.

Day 3139 & 3140 (04 & 05/08/2018)

We stayed at the Ibis hotel in the harbour-side after the meal, which was nice, as we could have a drink and relax and not think about driving back.

After getting ready we had brunch at Young & Foodish, which was very nice.

Then we had a walk along the harbour-side, which has changed much since we left Bristol 20 odd years ago and is now a lovely place to visit & stay.

Then we went to see Grandma.

Then home for a BBQ.

Every time we actually plan a BBQ it rains, so this was totally unplanned and just because it saved cooking anything proper when we got home.

On the Sunday I dropped Thomas off to be driven to his football duties for the week and then in the afternoon I made a nice moussaka and salad for dinner.

Day 3138 (03/08/2018)

My wife was off, so we had a nice breakfast, then I did some work before we went up to Bristol to meet friends for a drink and a meal at The Steak Of The Art. 

It was great to catch-up with, we used to see them all the time but rarely get a chance to see them from one year to the next but we will make more of an effort.

Day 3137 (02/08/2018)

Another busy day in the office but had time for a hair cut.

In the evening my wife made a very nice curry using the left over lamb.

The yoghurt raita had our own home grown cucumber & mint - Yum Yum Yum :-)

Day 3136 (01/08/2018)

It’s a new month, so it’s a new picture of Kylie on the calendar :-)

Learning about Bitcoin today for work and bought some bits of one, which I might keep for a while.

In the afternoon I cut the grass and tidied the garden after the rain and wind of the weekend.

Now I must keep looking after the lawn to get it back to its lovely green colour.

Day 3135 (31/07/2018)

It was a bit of a rushed morning, so no special breakfast today :-(

In the evening we went out to Efes a Turkish restaurant in Taunton with Gary & Elaine, for a joint Birthday Meal for me & her and perhaps a belated one for Thomas as well.

 

It was very tasty and a great night, as it always is with them.
