Day 3085 (11/06/2018)

Back to work but with a painful knee as I think I slept awkwardly the other night.

Desperately need a holiday, so hoping I will be keen to do more at work when I get back.

Had an interesting meting at the Holiday Inn, discussing an idea of something else we could do at work, which could be quite interesting and rewarding, if not financially at least morally.

Then home and I did a bit more tidying up in the garden in the hot son, getting rid of weeds and mud on the decking.

Much better.

Day 3083 & 3084 (09 & 10/06/2018)

Saturday was an early start as we drove down to Cornwall to welcome in Mark after his John O'Groat's to Lands End charity cycle ride.

 
We have been to Lands End a few times, and although i has been in the summer it has always been rainy & misty but it was glorious.

We also had a cream-tea

and a cornish pasty

and an ice-cream.

The cycling stuff was quite emotional.

 

 

Then there was a bit of a do in Cambourne.

Then it was a drive him after a long day.


Sunday I saw my Mum & Dad as normal and it was nice to catch-up with Aunty Carol who was visiting.

In the afternoon I made a nice roast lamb dinner, using herbs from the garden.

 

 

 

 

It was very tasty :-)

More time in the office but not doing as much as I wanted.

A busy day. First of all there was a very interesting article in The Bristol Cable about the local Police & Facebook.

Where do the press get these stories from :-)

Then I went to meet up with Mark on his Charity Cycle ride.

Really impressive, I wish I could have done it, it would have been great to be fit & slim again but it would have killed me with so little time to prepare.

Also a busy day for my company wit the other directors attend an important meeting in London, obviously I was not there and quite frankly was not invited but if we get the contract then I don't care.

In the evening I watered the garden and then a while sat out there relaxing, in fact so late the solar lights came on (darker than the photo showed), which was so much better than be sat in watch Lone Island with the other two in the house.

Another day when I was just tinkering in the office.

Had a nice curry in the evening.

Catching up with work. It could be quite an important week at work, with a big meeting in London, to which I'm not going, which is probably for the best.

I was in desperate need of a hair cut, so managed to get in this morning for an appointment.

 
And now its feels so much better.

Day 3076 & 3077 (02 & 03/06/2018)

Saturday morning was a chance to catch-up with work.

Had pizza and salad on Saturday.

On Sunday I did a nice duck dinner, which is a bit of a family favourite, very tasty.

The new lawn is looking really good but needs a cut but I have to wait a couple more weeks yet.

Impressed by how much in a month the herbs have grown.

It's June already, so a new photo of Kylie.

It might be June but it was pouring with rain for most of the day and I had meant to do lots of work but didn't achieve much (again).

More work in the office for a few hours and then Gary came over to do some more voice-over work.

I had said about doing a BBQ for us but the nice weather disappeared in the afternoon into a storm so I did a paella for us all instead.

 

It wasn't my best but it was still very nice and a lovely evening with G&E.

Still not doing too much but their is work piling up but I couldn't do much as Gary was using my computer to do some more voice-overs for our videos.

Bank Holiday Monday and after a nice breakfast me and my wife went to a Greenway, Agatha Christie's old summer house in Dartmouth, which is run by the National Trust and which we had visited many years ago when they first took it over and only the grounds were open.

 

 

 

  

It was baking hot and it was a nice to get back to the car and have a cool drink and also eat the picnic I had prepared, with a nice flask of tea, scotch egg & pork pie, very lovely :-)

Then we went off to Torquay and had an ice-cream by the sea-side :-)

A very nice day.

Day 3069 & 3070 (26 & 27/05/2018)

Saturday I did a bit of work in the morning and then made a nice gnocchi dinner for me & my wife in the evening.

It was quite tasty and I love putting fresh basil with things.

In the evening my Dad came round to watch the football on the telly.

On Sunday it was to warm to have a roast, so we had a nice salad.

Very tasty.
