Day 2390 (14/07/2016)

A very early start and train into London for The Centre For Investigative Journalism, to give a few presentations at their Summer School at Goldsmiths.

The talks were well received but it was a very long day but nice that both kids are home, so now we are all together for a couple of days.

Day 2389 (13/07/2016)

A busy day at home working, preparing for going back to London to do another presentation tomorrow.

I noticed I have more strange people following me on Twitter, maybe my wife told them to, which would be a worry as I'm not going to get the lucky twice (especially as Kylie is now off the market).

We had a nice family curry in the evening, just like the good old days.

Day 2388 (12/07/2016)

Not too an early of a start but I had to catch a train to London, to give a presentation in the afternoon.

They laid on a few cakes & biscuits which was nice but I did have to share them and only had a chance to have a couple :-(

It all went fine and was well received but still nowhere to really sit down and have some nice food at Paddington, so had some bagals.

I got home in the evening and Thomas has returned for a few days, which is great.

Day 2387 (11/07/2016)

A busy day, a busy week, with lots to do before tomorrows presentation in London.

Kim's old house went on the market today.

It would have been nice to keep it, for a few reason, as a sort of pension if nothing else; however even though we have had someone in there the whole time, meaning we didn't have to worry about paying the mortgage, there has been a constant worry of what goes wrong next in the house, with the bills that go along with that.

As we are not keen or competent DIY'ers ourselves I don't property management is for us.

Hopefully it will sell quickly and we can pay everything off and start a fresh and move on with planning for the future.

Day 2385 & 2386 (09 & 10/07/2016)

It was a fairly busy weekend, with lots of work to do.

I made a nice roast beef on the Sunday.

Then we sat down o watch the final of the Euro, which it would be fair to say I lost.

Well played those Bremain Boys.

Day 2384 (08/07/2016)

A busy day with people coming in to fix my office telephone line and broadband. The phone is now nice and quiet without interference which had stopped me using it for the last few months. Plus my up-load speed on the interenet is back to normal, so I don't have to wait 5 minutes when uploading a photo to the blog or sending a report to a client.

My new business cards arrived.

They were ordered by the office, so I didn't give myself the fancy title but it does sound very important.

Loads of reports to do, so new rest this weekend :-(

Day 2383 (07/07/2016)

Day 2 of the conference went well, with some nice food, including a chocolate cake :-)

In the afternoon we had a meeting about the organisation. I would have run it but I know that it is better if I don't as the police wont be involved if they see my name at the top.

Then an hours wait at Paddington, with still no Yo-Sushi  or Mexican, so I had to make do with a Starbucks.

Day 2382 (06/07/2016)

In London for a 2 day conference, with some people I get on with and ones from the police.

I was torn between being very professional and going for the sales or just ripping into the people I hate.

You can guess what I did but it went down well, with nearly everyone.

The food was very nice.

After the conference there were a few beers, then I went for a subway meal and back to my hotel room to watch Wales get knocked out of the Euros.

Day 2381 (05/07/2016)

Another day when I had planned to do so much but I hardly got any of the planned work done. I did do loads of other stuff.

Nice Tuesday breakfast together, missed these.

No bread or toast as my wife is seeing if I'm wheat intolerant or just generally intolerant.

Off to London in the evening for a conference but no first class travel :-(

Day 2380 (04/07/2016)

I had planned to do so much work today but got hardly any of that done.

On the plus side I did about two weeks worth of re-cycling done.

Also got my car washed :-)

Day 2378 & 2379 (02 & 03/07/2016)

A busy Saturday as we had to get ready sand drive to the Donkey Sanctuary for Oscar & Kellie's wedding.

It was a lovely service.

It was lovely food.

A very nice day and we wish them all the best in their new life together in America.

Sunday I had work to do but didn't do much but did make a nice dinner and watch the football.

Saturday, 2 July 2016

Day 2377 (01/07/2016)

The first of July already; the months and years go-bye quicker and quicker but thankfully there is always Kylie to look forward to.

I still have loads of work to catch up on, with reports in Romania to check and send to clients. Then a busy couple of weeks with presentations in London before going back to Romania. What a busy month, I will need another holiday soon at this rate.

Thanks to Lee / Kelly I now have a new lego figure, a bloody gnome.

Burrito's in the evening and Wales winning in the football.

Friday, 1 July 2016

Day 2376 (30/06/2016)

Another 6 presentations, which although isn't physically demanding is very mentally tiring, especially as we were doing it a two different venues.

Then a rush to the airport and a journey home.

Day 2375 (29/06/2016)

A full day of 6 short presentations, which got a bit confusing towards the end as I couldn't remember which bit I had already covered. I was glad to finish and get back to the hotel.

I had a very disappointing burger.

Then stubbed my toe and broke it :-(

Day 2374 (28/06/2016)

The course continued and went well.

In the evening I went out with the guys who run the company I was representing, for a curry, which was very nice as I haven't had one for ages.

Day 2373 (27/06/2016)

First day of this weeks 2 day training course and it was very nice to have someone whose job it was to help with all the running around and setting up.

The lunch was quite nice.

There was lots of fruit, most of which didn't get eaten, so I packed some up to take back to my hotel to have in the evening.

An OK meal at the hotel, followed by a crap performance by England at the football.
