Day 3286 & 3287 (29 & 30/12/2018)

Another busy weekend with work to catch-up on but we had a nice breakfast.

I went out for a walk in the afternoon and as soon as I got back my wife presented me with a cup of tea and a mince pie with baileys cream :-)

We had a curry in the evening which was nice.

Sunday was the much the same, with another walk and finishing off the curry :-)

Day 3285 (28/12/2018)

Still really busy, I have loads to do and a very tight deadline for a University.

I went out for another walk, only just under 30 minutes but every bit helps.

We had a nice dinner, as Thomas was at work. We started with the salmon terrine.

Then I made a nice spaghetti carbonara in the evening with some of the left over gammon.

 

 

Day 3284 (27/12/2018)

And it seems like Christmas is now over, with my wife & Thomas back to work and Lee going back to Brighton :-(

It was a great couple of days but I was also back in the office doing some work, there is so much to do in such a short period of time.

At lunchtime I went out for a walk, it was only for 20+ minutes and just less than 3,000 steps but it will be helpful if I can do this and a bit more everyday.

I put my new Kylie calendar in my office ready for the new year.

I also started sorting out a few things, starting to tidy up at long last. 

We had a bit of a buffet to try and use up some of the Christmas stuff but we will possibly be eating it for the next few months.

Day 3283 (26/12/2018)

It's Boxing Day and after a nice breakfast and a relaxing afternoon, we went to my Mum & Dad's for a meal in the evening.

Followed by round two of the quiz, that Gary & Elaine won again.

Another great day.

It's Christmas.

Christmas Eve and still loads to do.

I managed to just about finish my Christmas shopping and picked up the turkey from M&S, so it officially Christmas.

My wife even let us start the Christmas chocolates :-)

Then Lee came home and we had some pizza's.

Then my wife finished getting the house ready whilst I slept :-)

Day 3279 & 3280 (22 & 23/12/2018)

A busy weekend with a nice breakfast to start.

In the evening we went see my wife's family. Thomas drove so we could drink, and we did. There was lots of nice food and it was quite a good night.

On Sunday I popped into Tesco's before seeing my Mum & Dad for breakfast, big mistake, it was packed beyond belief and I only went in to get some Chinese for dinner.

Anyway I managed to escape eventually and the Chinese was very nice.

Another busy day. We are just so unprepared for Christmas this year.

A bust day in the office, then out out to do my usual Christmas shopping for the local FoodBank.

We should all try to do something to help people less fortunate than ourselves, especially with the ghastly government we have had the last few years.

Then I had a meeting with an old friend and hopefully soon to be member of staff.

In the evening I made fish & chips for us all :-)

A busy day in the office and still no Christmas decorations up, this could be our least organised year ever :-)

Day 3272 & 3273 (15 & 16/12/2018)

Loads to do in the office this weekend but we started with a nice breakfast and a package from a friend.

My wife had her works Christmas Do in the evening and seems to have enjoyed herself, whilst I stayed at home with a pizza.

On Sunday I did a nice baked Camembert for starters and a Spaghetti Bolognese afterwards, all very tasty :-)

In the evening Santa was in the street collecting for a local charity, what a nice chap Santa is :-)

It was an early start and an introduction to really bad traffic London morning traffic, even though the venue was about a mile from the hotel, it was enough to put me off of regularly working in London.

Anyway the venue was impressive & very secure.

There was a great view from their office and a nice lunch.

Then a long drive home but a nice box of silly things from Richard Herring to open.
