Day 3251 & 3252 (24 & 25/11/2018)

An early start with things to do in the office, then a nice breakfast.

 

In the afternoon I started preparing a three bird Sunday roast on a Saturday, as I had invited my parents were coming round to catch-up with Lee.

   

It was a lovely evening. 

On Sunday Lee went back home and I finished off a few things in the fridge for dinner, with some parma ham & asparagus, then some bubble & squeak.

 Both very tasty.

Day 3250 (23/11/2018)

It was a fairly early start, as we were going for lunch, as Lee was off out tonight she The Smyth's a Smith's tribute band in Bath with their friends.

So we all had to be ready and out by 12:15 and we just about made it, to be in the restaurant with Gary & Elaine for 12:30.

The restaurant was Lee's choice as they had been their with friends, and Little Italy didn't disappoint, with some great tasting food. 

 

 

 

And some lovely afters.

 

 

Then off to Mum & Dad's (who had a gasman coming round so could't make lunch) for a catch-up and tea & birthday cake.

 

 

Day 3249 (22/11/2018)

It was an early ish start, with breakfast at the hotel.

Then a short but chilly walk around to the other side of the stadium where the conference was taking place, to be greeted by a good view of both the pitch and egg & bacon rolls :-)

The talk went very well and I was soon back on the road on the long drive home.

I made a tasty meatball meal in the evening and luckily there was a half open bottle of white in the fridge, which made it even better.

Plus in the early hours Lee came home for their birthday.

Day 3248 (21/11/2018)

It was a busy morning with work to do and then out by 10:30 to drive to Sheffield, via Derby.

In Derby it as a chance to catch-up with someone over a latte and a slice of cake.

Then of to Sheffield, where I knew the hotel was next door to the football club but I hadn't appreciated it was actually part of the ground, so it wasn't too bad.

My room had a somewhat restricted  view of the ground but was quite comfy, with a nice couch.

 

In the evening I had a meeting with a very interesting developer discussing creating databases, over a very tasty steak :-)

Day 3247 (20/11/2018)

Just a busy day in the office as I had things to prepare for as I was going to be away for a couple of days at a conference.

Day 3246 (19/11/2018)

A busy day in the office, with another smoothie, which I enjoy and do keep me going until lunchtime.

 

When my wife came home we had some nice sushi for lunch :-)

Day 3244 & 3245 (17 & 18/11/2018)

I started the day by doing some work in the office but then had a nice nearly healthy breakfast.

In the late afternoon we went for another walk around Dunster Castle.

Slightly disappointed that we did n't get to have a cup of tea and cake, we thought we were still in time but the gate was locked :-(

So we ended up in Minehead and had fish & chips by the sea front and then sat in our car drinking a tea & latte.

Quite a nice but slightly cold day out.

It was a cold start this morning, with me having to defrost the ice first thing as Thomas was going off to work early. Obviously I was still wearing my shorts but put a coat on.

After seeing my parents I came back and tidied the garden, again.

I raked the leaves and made more of the plants ready for winter, that's already here.

In the afternoon I tried something a bit different for dinner, doing some roast cod today, wrapped in prosciutto, with olives & vine cheery tomato’s.
