Day 1554 & 1555 (29 & 30/03/2014)

The weekend is here and I am really looking forward to all being together tonight as Kelly is coming back for Mothers Day.

Saying that my wife is out at her Mum's today and Thomas is at Swindon covering the football, whilst I'm doing some work.

Having Mum & Dad round for a nice Sunday Roast tomorrow.

Day 1553 (28/03/2014)

A busy day catching up with stuff in the office not helped when I realised that my invoices from our training in January & February for the Home Office wasn't paid.

My business accounts are empty as an empty thing from empty town and I have bills to pay, like Thomas's camera insurance which has now doubled thanks to the soaking he got from Yeovil Town, the inconsiderate wankers.

Looking forward to Kelly being home tomorrow night, for Mothers Day.

Day 1552 (27/03/2014)

The last day of the course then a very very long drive home as the M6 was still closed following an accident in the morning.

I was advised to take a different route, along the M1, which added about another 100 miles to the already journey.

Exhausted by the the time I got home.

Day 1551 (26/03/2014)

Course going well but I fell asleep during pointless again.

I went out for a Chinese with Kevin tonight, which was nice and a vast improvement over the other meals this week.

Day 1550 (25/03/2014)

First day of this weeks course and it seemed to go OK.

When I got back to the hotel I settled down to my usual routine of watching Pointless and then woke up to see the news was on, damn missed it all.

In the evening I went to the pub next door for a disappointing soup, then a gammon and chips.

I don't why I bother apart from its just next door and easy but not really that great,

Day 1549 (24/03/2014)

Busy morning preparing to go away up north for a few days.

Then a talk at the University of Central Lancashire followed by a meeting about future ventures.

Missing home & my family already and not left yet.

In the evening I just fancied a quick burger & fries but the Burger King next door was being renovated and only the drive thru was open, so despite it only being about 15 seconds walk away I was forced to drive there.

Day 1547 & 1548 (22 & 23/03/2014)

A slightly relaxing day catching up on stuff in the office and finishing off getting ready for next weeks course.

It keeps raining but if it stays fairly dry I will aim to start tidying up the garden tomorrow.

Lovely Sunday dinner.

Day 1546 (21/03/2014)

A relaxing day, starting with a slightly smaller breakfast,

a walk on the beach,

then a stop at a National Trust property,

which included a lovely bowl of red lentil and coconut soup, which was fantastic.

Day 1545 (20/03/2014)

The day started with Kelly joining us at the hotel for breakfast.

Obviously that was my breakfast not hers.

Then we caught the bus into town.

Then shopping in The Lanes, which included a stop for tea.

Then an evening meal at the hotel.

Day 1544 (19/03/2014)

A long drive over to Brighton to see Kelly, then a few hours spent at Frankie & Benny's at The Marina.

It was great to see her, she was on top form.

The room at The White Horse was quite nice

but had an ominous number.

Day 1543 (18/03/2014)

Home today (for the cleaner) before going off to Brighton for a couple of days to catch up with Kelly.

Day 1542 (17/03/2014)

We had a lovely breakfast at the Hotel,

which included an automatic pancake machine.

Wow if I win the lottery I would definitely have one of these.

Then we spent the day with Brian & Stella and the kids. OK I know they are grown adults, and in one case have kids of their own but they are all kids to me.

A lovely family, who always make us feel welcome.

As do Ricky & Christine who I must visit again soon.

Day 1540 & 1541 (15 & 16/03/2014)

I week off, well a few bits of work need doing but mostly off with my wife this week.

It was a nice day on Saturday, which we spent mostly relaxing and then visiting Gary & Elaine.

After we left we stopped off to look at the sea but it had gone quite cold, so we didn't stay long but had to stop on the way back to get fish & chips, to share.

On Sunday we had a lovely evening at the park Plaza in Cardiff, which is a very nice place we had stayed at before.

We had cocktails in the evening and I thought I would have a Bloody Mary, as I had always fancied one, but it was Bloody Awful. It might have been OK if it was being warmed in a saucepan with some pasta.

Then we had a lovely evening meal.

And finished off with a nice Baileys & Ice by the fire.
