Day 5051 (31/10/2023)

Still have a cold :-( 

The day started with a nice breakfast.

And we had a nice pizza.

The online in the evening.

Day 5050 (30/10/2023)

Monday and still full of a cold :-(

I made a roast tomato soup in the evening.

Two kilo's of tomato's, a red pepper and a bulb of garlic, roasted and then liquidised.  

Then re-warmed with some single cream.

With a spoonful of creme fraiche and some crotons, all very tasty.  

But I made far too much, so will be having it for lunch for the next few days. 

Day 5048 & 5049 (28 & 29/10/2023)

Still have a cold.  Had a fairly relaxing day, with a Halloween themed brunch.

Then in the evening went to see family in Bristol, for a lovely dinner, with a pumpkin soup. 

Monk fish paella like dish. 

Honey & saffron poached pears :-)

Sunday I saw my parents for breakfast, then in the afternoon I used the new cooker for the first time, to do roast beef dinner, which seemed to confirm how underperforming the old cooker was, as this one is much hotter and cooks much quicker.

Day 5047 (27/10/2023)

Woke up full of a cold and didn't fancy working, so had a relaxing day. 

In the evening I made a fresh linguine with vegi lardons & mushrooms in a cream sauce, topped with king prawns, with a tricolour caprice with a lovely creamy burrata, all very tasty.

Day 5046 (26/10/2023)

I was up early as the plumber was coming round to sort out the new cooker and getting the waste under the sink sorted out.

Then a nice brunch.  

Then in the evening we went to the Hen & Chicken in Bristol with Sam to see Ignacio Lopez, who was veery funny. 

 

Day 5045 (25/10/2023)

Another relaxing morning and then off to explorer Plymouth in the sunshine.

Then off for a lovely afternoon-tea before going home.

Day 5044 (24/10/2023)

We had a nice breakfast in our room at the hotel, then we went off to visit some nearby National Trust places and had a very nice lunch.

In the evening we had a nice meal out.
