A cool & wet start to the day, which is a quite a relief after the recent high temperatures. A busy day in the office and at the gym.

I have lots of work of to do but little enthusiasm.
Back at work & back at the gym.
In the late afternoon we took Thomas back to Bournemouth and stopped for a bite to eat before driving back.
My wife is still off work for a couple of days and it is just a gentler return to work for me before quite a busy bit. It is hot in the UK but at least it is cooler than Rome.
I made us a nice brunch, based on something I saw Jamie Oliver do, French / eggy crumpets, with avocado & tomato, not too bad :-)
We popped out in the afternoon and had a nice Costa.

An early morning taxi journey to the airport for thee of us, where we sailed thru security & passport control again and then had some breakfast. Lee's plane was in the evening so they had a few extra hours of sightseeing.
Then on to the plane.
Then home to unpack and water the garden. Then we had a nice Chinese in the evening.
Our last full day in Italy and the 39th Anniversary of me and my wife first meeting. We went out for a wander around Rome, then going to Tiber Island.
Then we had a bit of a walk around and visited another ornate church, where there was a wedding happening.
Then we had some food and a few drinks to cool down.
Then back to the apartment to get changed and we went out for dinner with Lee in the evening but whilst it weas lovely, especially to spend time with them, we were still full and quite tired, so we could have done with just going to bed.
Lee was feeling better today, so me and my wife went out for a few hours on the metro to visit the Spanish Steps.
Then after a very hot bus journey back to the apartment, we freshened up and then in the evening we went out with Lee for a quick pizza and managed to get on the evening bus tour.
