Day 3501 (31/07/2019)

Golly its busy, so much happening on so many different fronts.

Finished off the Chilli for lunch :-)

Day 3500 (30/07/2019)

Another busy day in the office but lots else happening.

I got my "I'm One Of The Cool Kids" membership packs for the Richard Herring podcasts.

Got someone over to fix the lock on the back door, which thankfully only needed a bit or a service & greasing rather than replacing.

Our Sunflowers are starting to flower.

Had a Two For Tuesday in the evening :-)

Day 3499 (29/07/2019)

A busy taking Thomas to work and then doing somethings before going up to Treforest for a meeting at the University of South Wales for a meeting in relation to the Missing People stuff we are doing.

Luckily there was plenty of nice food to eat, starting with a tray of Danish :-)

Day 3497 & 3498 (27 & 28/07/2019)

It's my Birthday and we started with a nice breakfast at the hotel.

They even had a make your own pancake machine, which I obviously had to try out.

A very nice break.

Then we went off to Kim's grave to lay fresh flowers. We try to do this every month. It's hard to believe its been 8 years.

I doubt a day goes by without any of either me, my wife or kids thinking about her. I know she would have loved the adults the kids have become and would be very proud of them. It still makes me very sad to think of her.

Then we went home and were joined by the kids and went off to Mum & Dads for tea & cake.

Then home for a very nice Mexican.

 

   

Then on Sunday we had dinner at The Worlds End, whilst Thomas was at work. u

   

 

 

 

Then Lee went home :-(

Day 3496 (26/07/2019)

A morning at work but then in the afternoon we went off to Mercure Hotel in Bridgwater, for a night away and a meal at the Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar and Grill, for a pre-Birthday treat, which was very nice.

Had a complementary chilled bottle of Presecco in the room.

 

We were on a deal, so couldn't pick from the full menu but the options were still very tasty.

  

   

 

 

 

   

 

Day 3495 (25/07/2019)

It was only the morning in Exeter and then home to chill.

Had a colourful and very large dragonfly in the garden.

Another hot day in a training room.

Day 3493 (23/07/2019)

Another day training in the heat, wishing I was in my shorts & t-shirt.

There was a bit of a storm in the night, with Thunder & Lightening.

Day 3492 (22/07/2019)

It was an early start to take Thomas to work and then back home for a few hours in the office before going off to Exeter for the first day of a few days training.

Day 3490 & 3491 (20 & 21/07/2019)

The weekend is here with lots to do.

On Saturday we went up to Bristol to lay flowers on Mary & Richard's grave, where the stone had just been laid.

Then we went over to Andrew & Alison's for a catch-up and a G&T.

And a very nice dinner.

 

It was a very lovely evening.

On Sunday I made a very tasty mixed seafood tagliatelle.

 

 

 

 

 

Day 3489 (19/07/2019)

A day spent catching up in the office, whilst it rains outside.

My wife made her special Kedgeree in the evening.

Day 3488 (18/07/2019)

I was up early for court but felt awful.

Spent the day waiting at the court and eventually gave evidence on a job we were involved with, which helped win the case for our client, then was released at 4pm and had to drive across the country to catch my plane home.
 

Had time for a bite to eat at the airport.

 

I was asleep before we took off and woke shortly before landing, with a nice view of the severn bridges.

Then a drive home to relax.
