Another busy stressful day at work but still so much to do so we can launch our software.

Another busy / stressful day with work, achieved very little but deciding on a future direction.

Then off to give blood like a hero :-)

It was a Bank Holiday and after a relaxing start of the day we went to Barrington Court, a nearby National Trust property, as the traffic was bad and we couldn't get to the one we wanted to go to. But we had a nice walk around.

 

And I did a very nice picnic.

Day 3433 & 3434 (25 & 26/05/2019)

Its a Bank Holiday Weekend, which I had forgotten about and even better than that the sun is out, although I am in the office doing some work.

Also I am still tidying up the house and probably will be for another year or two, starting with my office and now have a Richard Herring shelf for all of my bits and bobs :-)

I also came across my first ever Gideons Bible which I got given in School in 1979, when I was still 11.

Obviously I wont put it on eBay, it would never sell, so its going in the bin instead.

Had a lovely mashed avocado with yogurt & chilli on toast for brunch.

Made a nice Mexican in the evening, doing a chilli con carne and some nachos.

On Sunday I was going to do a BBQ, the first of the season but as always, as soon as I mention BBQ the weather turns, so I did a nice salad instead.

Day 3432 (24/05/2019)

A very busy day in the office, with loads still to do.

Plus I am still tidying up things in my office and looking for more things to put on eBay.

My wife made a very lovely risotto in the evening.

Another busy day in the office.

Thomas's last day at College, that went quickly, hopefully he will be off to University next.

We are all really impressed with what he has done this year.

Then in the evening I went to a pensioners group meeting.

It was a busy morning and then a drive in the sun over to Oxford to give a talk in Oxford at the football ground, which went OK but I didn't have time for the buffet :-(

  
Then a long hot drive home.

Another busy day in the office.

I have done a big chunk of the stuff I needed to do for work, so feel a bit less stressed.

Also started getting things together in the house to sell on eBay and to throw away. I now have a box of stuff to put online, so of which has been lying around my office for years, some of which I nought for work and never really needed or just bought as part of an investigation, so have no use for. 

Whatever money I get will be a bonus but mostly it will be nice to get the house sorted and tidy.

Day 3426 & 3427 (18 & 19/05/2019)

A busy weekend, which started with a nice healthy (ish) breakfast.

After watch the FA Cop final I made lamb kofta's and we had a bit of Greek inspired meal.

On Sunday I did lamb shank (they were on offer so it was a double lamb weekend)

 

   

As it took a while to cook we had Sushi for starters.

The lamb shank was lovely as always.

It was an early start as the hedge was being trimmed today and they always turn up before 8:00am.

It is so noisy when they do it but it always looks so good afterwards.,

A busy time in the office, with so much still to do.

A busy day in the office and at the house, where we had the gutters emptied and cleaned, as the weeds & grass growing out of them was embarrassing.

 I just can't work out how so much soil ends up in the gutters.

Now it looks so much better.

 

Next is the hedge which goes around the house which is due to be trimmed and tidied up on Friday.

Day 3422 (14/05/2019)

As we hadn't had time for a nice breakfast on my wife's birthday I did a nice breakfast today, with smoked salmon & scrambled eggs on bagels.

It was very tasty, especially with the magic ingredient, tarragon but I had already started it by the time I remembered to take a picture.

We had a few bananas going over, so I decided to make a banana ice-cream, which I had seen soon the telly.  First freezing the bananas.

Then blitzing them with some peanut butter. 

 

 

Then served with some salted caramel sauce, very tasty :-)

Day 3421 (13/05/2019)

My wife is once again older than me as it is her birthday. In the morning whilst we were having breakfast I thought there was a large delivery for my wife but i turned out to be a shipment of wine sent to me from the HSBC as an apology for taking over 2 months to set up a bank account for a new venture.

Then it was off to Little Italy for a nice lunch with the kids. 

 

It was very tasty, as it had been for Lee's Birthday. 

 

 

Then we went off to my parents for tea & birthday cake, which was vere nice :-) 

   

Lee went home later, then in the evening I did some cheese & biscuits, with some port for a nice supper :-)
