Day 5478 (31/12/2024)

New Years Eve, I was up fairly early to take my Dad to the hospital, then home for brunch. 

Did some work during the day, updating my website, then time to relax. I did some nice gammon, eggs & chips in the evening. 

I may have put too much on my plate :-)

Then we sat and watched some telly, seeing in the New Year. 

Day 5477 (30/12/2024)

Back to work and was glad to actually get all of my reports finished and sent off. 

We just had a few nibbles watching telly, rather than a proper diner. 

Day 5475 & 5476 (28 & 29/12/2024)

 It was the weekend, and we had a fairly relaxed morning & brunch.

Then we got ready and went to Bristol to visits my wife's family at Andrew & Alison's. We had a nice afternoon tea.

Then a lovely chilly in the evening.

With frozen fruit & chocolate custard. 

Then on the way home we drove thru Bristol to see the Christmas lights. 

Sunday I saw my parents for breakfast, then home to do some work and made a nice dinner for us. 

With liver & bacon for my wife. 

With gammon and mash with cheesy cauliflower, broccoli & leaks.  

Day 5474 (27/12/2024)

Everyone was back at work today, including me. It was great to actually have all the training material & questions completed. Now I have to do some work that is a bit overdue.

My cold has gone but I still feel like crap, which is somewhat annoying.

Had cheesy vegi tuna in the evening.

We had an extra long lie-in, to recover from our colds & Christmas.

We had a lazy day, with a few nibbles in the evening.

Day 5472 (25/12/2024)

Christmas Day, and we had a fairly relaxed morning.

Then drove my parents to Gary & Elaine's, for an absolutely lovely day, with some great food and silly games.

Then home, late, in the cold & mist. 

Day 5471 (24/12/2024)

Christmas Eve and we had a lazy morning before driving to Bridgwater then Bristol, to lay flowers on the graves of those missing at Christmas. 

Then home to relax.

Day 5470 (23/12/2024)

Still recovering from my cold. Did some work during the day and finished the leftover hotdogs in the evening.  

Day 5468 & 5469 (21 & 22/12/2024)

Feeling slightly better but we had a full day, as we drove Lee back to Worthing.

The journey was OK and thankfully Tim had made some lovely food for us when arrived, although neither of us could eat it all.

Salad and a lovely garlic mushroom macaroni cheese. 

Then a drive back .

Sunday we were both feeling better but still far from 100% but my wife was off to work and went to see my parents for breakfast. Di some work and did some tasty hot dogs in the evening, with salad & fries.   

Day 5467 (20/12/2024)

I had a good sleep but still felt rough in the morning.

I did some work and to save cooking in the evening, we got fish & chips, which was nice but neither of us had much of an appetite.

Day 5466 (19/12/2024)

I woke feeling even worse but dosed myself up and went off to Bath for a works Christmas Do.

So I had to dress-up, which I don't like and I cut myself shaving, so I wasn't feeling at my best but caught the train. 

Got to Bath a bit early but was soon drinking and eating.

Forgot to take a photo of the table, and of my soup.

I even forgot to take a picture of my afters, it may have been the drink :-) 

It was a great time but I was flagging at the end and went straight to bed when I got home.

Day 5465 (18/12/2024)

Annoyingly I've gone down with a cold, and I've had work come in, and probably worse of all, we have never been so behind in our preparations, and it was clear that we just wouldn't have time to get the normal decorations down from the loft and to decorate the house, so I popped out to "Propper job" and bought a load of decorations and had the front-room decorated for when my wife came home, which I think she appreciated.

In the evening I did a Mexican, with lots of Quesadillas.
